What I Liked

Sports facility is very good whether it is cricket basket or football
DAV provides best NCC experience to the cadets

What I didn’t like

Lack of strictness for attendance so the student could be more disciplined.
Need to update academic syllabus according to today's competition

Placement Experience:

There is placement cell in the college which is run by commerce stream students. Some companies like godrej and ITC came to pick students. There is a separate exam and interview for the placement in the companies.

Internships Opportunities:

I have not opted for any internship but other stream students (commerce stream) took internship and placements. There is a placement cell for the students and companies like godrej and ITC came during my time and some students got placed.

Dav college chandigarh( a college not to opt for)

What I Liked

Tht it offers a big ground nd plenty walking space
2 canteens with different tastes so students can easily choose according to there preference

What I didn’t like

Bench and class rooms, bench are very old
Parking problem, activa parking is paid but still ok but 4 wheeler parking is worst

Placement Experience:

Companies show up but very low pay is offered and very low placement rate. Companies with no scope of growth come for recruitment, no one ever throws light on this factor but everyone wants to reduce the low attendance fine.

The Place where learning truly began.

What I Liked

The ambience and the nature of course provides a great learning environment.
The cafe and social zones to have great discussions with friends.

What I didn’t like

The auditorium could have been made more good.
The back building is a problem during summers as it is not properly ventilated.

Placement Experience:

Every year there is a Placement cell that comes to offer jobs. Different companies visit offering good intership and job opportunities to students. It offers good packages and great opportunities according to the potential of a child.

Internships Opportunities:

I was placed to a School for internship that offered a great experience as I always wanted to go for the academic type of job. It offered a great deal of learning as a future teacher that I am right now.

MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

What I Liked

I did like the faculty and college life overall it was great I want to relive that life with my college friends made great friends and memories for life

What I didn’t like

The College campus is small is not enough spacious tho we have canteen to sit and chill but sometimes it was congested

Placement Experience:

After completing my bachelor's I did go to pursue masters abroad but there were no placements as such and you just need to study and find out your own way out for job and hiring student struggle with this

Internships Opportunities:

No I did not opted for any kind of internship as I wanted to pursue masters after my bachelor's degree in biotechnology from my college and doing only bachelor's is not sufficient in today's world so yeah

A Place Leading to Your Success

What I Liked

The college faculty is really knowledgeable and helpful
There are many sources of traveling that are easily available.

What I didn’t like

The classrooms can be improved by providing Air Conditioners and more comfortable benches.
Sometimes classes are cancelled at last moment which is an issue for students living far away from college. It should be avoided.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities provided by the college is good . Most of the students are placed through campus placements. But the students can also apply off-campus. The average package offered is 3 LPA. The companies like Amazon , Deloitte offers the jobs. The basic condition is that the students must by knowledgeable and confident enough to crack the interviews.

Well no Campus placements are provided after completing Bachelors of Arts as you'll have to complete masters then Phd and after doing all of these you can find a teaching job or can do free lancing accordingly.

Dav college life.

What I Liked

The campus life here is great. Full of fun and goodness
Here the extra activities keep the children here full of fun and helps to decrease study pressure.

What I didn’t like

There is nothing necessary that was not good.
Labs need a bit of improvement and developed more with new devices.

Placement Experience:

The placements and job opportunities is also very nice and the teachers make full efforts for the students to create a very good efficiency for job opportunities. Helps every student to outgrow not only in this course but in every course.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven’t opted for any internship . But the teachers have tries their best for the ones who have an idea for creating a good career from bachelors only and dont want to study further for further studies.

What I Liked

I really like the infrastructure of this college
I really like the canteen food. They provide us good and testy food

What I didn’t like

I don't like about the canteen food because it is not affordable for everyone
The college campus is little small as compare to others

I don't about the placement and jobs because I am new in this college. But as this is a grade A college there might be good for placement and jobs. And after getting the degree I would like to become a teacher in this college.

Internships Opportunities:

I don't opted for internship so I don't know anything about it. There might be many students who have taken internship but don't know who they are. So it is difficult for me to know about the internship

Reality of the DAV College Chandigarh

What I Liked

College campus is small but facilities are good faculties are also Good they know how to teach and are very approachable
Canteen is present there however the Price of food is high but quality is good

What I didn’t like

The price of the food in the canteen is high . Due to election man fighting take place
Water facility is good but sometimes there is problem in water supply the toilets are not so clean but in better condition

Placement Experience:

There are placements available in this college but not for the BA course other courses can apply the placement and can have the jobs and internship is also provided there are many highest and lowest packages but overall packages are good

Internships Opportunities:

No I haven't opted for any internship because my course doesn't give any internship in this college personally we can get the internship from outside the college or there are students who run the internship programs for the students of the BA course

DAV- an experience of a lifetime

What I Liked

The campus of the college is amazing and it provides everything a student needs. The campus is spacious has numerous classrooms with facilities. The washrooms are in very corner and on almost every floor or building. The college has multiple blocks. The best thing is that there are 6-7 eating spots and canteens in the college so it is of high interest for students. The large multiple open grounds and sitting areas are further helpful for students to sit and enjoy there time and relax between there classes.
The campus life of the college is quite happening. There are open stage auditions, fests, blood donation drives, flash mobs, party announcements, seminars, games etc to keep everyone entertained. The college is not hustling study oriented but touches every sort of aspect snd flourish in it. The students get as much exposure ad they want and most definitely can enjoy their time there.

What I didn’t like

The student run groups and societies in the college like dance music etc are not much supported. There is no dance room or theatre room for the to practice or prepare. The college does not have any sort of funds for them to function on. When they go for performing and competing in different colleges the college does not provide them with any sort of conveyance or funds which makes that task quite difficult for them.
The political party riots are not a pleasant sight. As during elections political parties and students associated with them het aggressive and the discipline in highly compromised due to protests and fights that break out. The police officers and gaurds have to be on high alert all the time. And students grt uncomfortable and unsafe during that time.

Placement Experience:

There is not any working placement cell in the college and there are no companies that come and interview students for placements. This is one huge drawback that is faced by everyone. But the internship programs are shared in whatsapp groups among students from time to time which helps at some extent. After graduation many students join the company where they worked as an intern or apply from the job websites or articles. Majority of bachelor students go for higher studies or competitive exams to secure a better job. But from the college’s end there is no facility provided for students have job as the placement cell is not functioning at all.

Internships Opportunities:

I have not opted for any internship or company as i am preparing for MBA entrance exams and want to focus completely on that. A friend of mine did internship with red bull and then further secured a job there. She is earning around 30000 per month there. But the job she secured was on her own and not from the help of the college
