A college formerly known as M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology; is a private engineering college. It is autonomous and is located in the sprawling cosmopolitan city of Bangalore in Karnataka. The university is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. This college offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various streams. 

The undergraduate streams include mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science and engineering. There are over 12 streams at the undergraduate level. There are also research programs in streams like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and many more that lead up to a Ph.D./M.Sc. (Engg).
