CMR Institute of Technology Bengaluru, Karnataka, was established in 2000. The institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and is approved by AICTE. It is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and accredited by the NBA. The NAAC has graded the institute ‘A++’. According to the CMRIT Rankings 2025, Outlook ranked it 43rd out of 52 colleges in the overall category.

CMRIT Bangalore offers BTech as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission, candidates must pass 10+2 with English as one of the languages and secure a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science (40% for Karnataka reserved category candidates). Final selection is based on scores from the KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Mains examinations. The KCET Cutoff 2024 for the General Male category for BTech ranges from 13,508 to 24,004. The CMRIT Bangalore fees for BTech range from INR 4.17 lakhs to INR 10.66 lakhs.

CMRIT Placements 2021 concluded successfully with around 85 companies visiting the campus and 551 job offers made. The highest CTC offered was INR 23.5 LPA, while the average CTC stood at INR 5.52 LPA. Some of the top recruiters included DHFL, Inszoom, Aegis, Accenture, Edureka, SAP, Sapient, McKinsey, EY, and others.
