It is one of the oldest colleges in west Bengal. So many alumni are working all over the world at this college. In west Bengal, there are only two colleges where there is a textile technology department, and one of them is GCETTB. So for that specialization, I have chosen this college.

The main fact that I chose this college was it was a government college and the fees for the degree were very low. For admission to this college one need to sit for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination where he/she must secure a rank within 5000 then after counselling he can get a seat in this college. The good aspect is that the fees a low Professors are well-trained and knowledgeable. Bad aspects- Placement is not up to the mark for students except Textile Technology All the equipment in lab is not maintained and updated.

After completing my Diploma in Computer Science and Technology. I have appeared for JELET (Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test), I got into this college in my 1st Counselling and then I was admission to this college. i.e Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology Berhampore

I got admission to the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore by securing a good gank in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state-level entrance examination for obtaining a Graduate degree in Engineering and Pharmacy. People from another state can also appear in this exam.

The college has 4 departments. Textile branch of the college is the best. Other departments are are also good but not compared to textile department. Other departments are CSE,EE and ME. CSE department is also good but placements in EE and ME departments are not good in recent years. For admission you have to clear WBJEE exam. cut-offs (CLOSING RANKS): CSE:- 8500 EE:-12000 ME:-20000 TT:-30000 Make a decent preparation to clear WBJEE to get a chance to admit in these college. For CSE you have to have prepare a bit hard. Wish you all the best for your upcoming WBJEE exam

Admission process starts by giving state level based tests like West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and the score evaluates the college a student get into. For Preparation: Test Preparations : Study for standardized tests using preparatory books, online resources and practise exams. Research: Understanding the specific requirements and expectation of my college. Regarding the good and bad aspects of my college, my College provides the best education and placements.
