SRIT Coimbatore Scholarships

SRIT offers BC/ MBC/ DNC students scholarships based on the eligibility Criteria:

• Annual income of the family should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- for BC/MBC/DNC students.
• Only students admitted under Government Quota can apply.

The following scholarships are provided to students meeting the eligibility criteria:

• The Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Scholarship
• Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Scholarship
• Decentralized Scholarship
• Minorities Welfare Scheme Scholarship.

SRIT Coimbatore Facilities

• Infrastructure: SRIT has a scenic and composure atmosphere enveloped by green hillocks and is located on the outskirts of cities. The campus has a blend of culture and innovation. It has 49.99 acres spread over a built-up area of 65,117 m².

A high-speed Wi-Fi connection is also available for students on campus.

• Smart classrooms: SRIT classrooms are enhanced to provide a great learning experience by assimilating learning technology that allows the Professor to educate using a wide range of technological advancements. They have 26 classrooms fully smart and are well-furnished with: MIC Cordless with receiver, Amplifier, System, Camera, LCD Projector, Projector Screen, Speakers, UPS.

Live interactive audio video lectures conducted by the Centre for Faculty Development of Anna University. Live audio-video two-way interactive lectures are given by expert faculty drawn from Anna University/IIT/affiliated colleges during the semester working days.

EDUSAT hall is equipped with the following: Handycam with tripod, Audio mixer amplifier, RF Receiver, Microphone, System, LCD Projector, Projector Screen, Speakers, UPS.

• Library: SRIT provides students of all courses a well-updated library full of books about engineering, management and technology. They have three libraries named as Central Library, Library Research Resource Centre, and MBA Library that help students to learn and advance research purposes.

They have 44,263 books, 3175 CDs, 2623 Back Volumes of Periodicals, and 736 Periodical CDs along with subscriptions to periodicals and e-journals. They also provide open-source platforms like NPTEL for better understanding.

• Laboratory: SRIT has a research lab called e-Yantra Lab for robotics and embedded systems in association with IIT Bombay which is supported by NMEICT (National Mission on Education through ICT). They also have the Aakash Project Centre which is funded by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development and aims to take next-generation technology to the classrooms. Along with this, they have virtual laboratories of NMEICT, Google Apps for Education, Open Source Software initiatives, EDx, NPTEL, MOOCs, etc.
• Health Care: SRIT provides an experienced team of medical staff in their hospital and a wonderful infrastructure in their multispeciality hospital at an affordable cost.
• Transport: SRIT has 5 buses for transportation. They are to travel to destinations located on the city outskirts and two buses ply from the college to the town twice in the evening.
• Food Court: SRIT offers a delightful canteen and food facilities where food items are supplied at a relative cost.
• Sports and Games: The campus has well-architectural playgrounds where all types of outdoor as well as indoor games are played. Inter-college competitions are held where student participation is seen with enthusiasm.
• Hostels: SRIT provides exclusive hostels and hostel services for boys and girls within the campus. Hygiene is properly maintained in the preparation of food items. The hostel has Wi-Fi connectivity, indoor games, gyms, etc. Treated hygienic water and stationary are also provided with a power backup.
• SRIT VALTACE: VALTACE stands for Verbal Analytical Logical Technical Assessment of Competency towards Employability. It is an Assessment Platform developed by SRIT to evaluate students' competency. It has 12 different formats of questions like MCQ, essays, numerical, random short-answer matching, etc.
• ICT Tools: For enriching the learning experience of students SRIT put forward updated user-friendly and state-of-the-art educational technologies for a better teaching-learning process.

Every part of the campus is connected by a good networking facility and easy-to-access content from the internet.
