PSG College Of Technology Placement FAQs

Ques. How early do placement drives begin?

Ans. Placement drives at SSGMCE generally begin in the final year of the engineering programme, mostly from the third semester of that year. The Training and Placement Cell contacts companies and plans recruitment activities early, so students get enough time to prepare and take part. Some organisations may also hold early rounds or interview-based hiring in the pre-final year to shortlist suitable students. This schedule gives students several chances to secure a job before they graduate.

Ques. Can students participate in off-campus placements?

Ans. SSGMCE allows students to take part in off-campus placements along with campus recruitment drives. The placement cell mainly handles company visits and on-campus interviews, but students can also search for jobs outside the campus. Off-campus opportunities can increase their choices and help them find roles that match their skills and career goals. Students should manage both options carefully to improve their chances of getting placed.

Ques. Does SSGMCE provide any pre-placement training?

Ans. SSGMCE gives students pre-placement training to help them prepare for recruitment. The Training and Placement Cell conducts workshops and sessions on aptitude tests, technical skills, communication skills, group discussions, and interview methods. These activities help students build confidence and improve their employability. The college also invites industry experts and trainers for specialised sessions so that students understand current industry expectations and prepare for better job opportunities.
