NIT Trichy is inviting PhD applications for multiple disciplines till December 9, 2024. The candidates can apply online through the university portal. The application fee for the Unreserved category is INR 1000 and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD applicants.

The selection will be based on a Written test/Personal Interview to be conducted at the NIT Trichy campus.

NIT Trichy PhD Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% mark or 6.5 CGPA for the GEN category candidates and a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC / ST / PwD category, in both UG and PG degrees. In addition, a qualified GATE or an equivalent National level test score is mandatory for a Full-Time PhD.
• GATE / equivalent National level test score is not mandatory for the Part-Time category of all disciplines but the written test conducted by NIT Trichy is mandatory for such candidates.

Documents Required for NIT Trichy PhD Admission

• 10th and 12th Mark Sheets.
• Passport-size photograph.
• Signature of the applicant.
• Transfer Migration certificate.
• UG and PG Mark-sheets.
• Category Certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PwD), if applicable.
• For Full-time PhD applicants proof of Research publications/research proposal (if any) and statement of Purpose (SoP) as a single file is required.
• For Part-time PhD Applicants NOC, Sponsorship certificate, Certificate from the External Research Coordinator, Proof of Research publications, and statement of Purpose (SoP)/ research proposal (if any), as a single file is required.
