Remarks :
There is a common entrance test for admission which is conducted through online. The college ambience is very nice. Class will be conducted regularly. But sometimes it is irregular like the teachers won't be able to take the class due to DC meetings. Otherwise it is ok.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am really passionate about Forensic Science and the investigation process and that is the reason why I selected this course. The professors have a doctoral degree and the assistant professors have completed their masters degree. The faculties use PPT presentation for teaching with the use of whiteboard. This will help the students more interested in the class than the normal lectures. There will be 4 internal exams conducted in each semesters and then the final exam will happen. Questions will come according to the syllabus so learning the whole syllabus will ease the exam.
Internships Opportunities :
I have done my internship at State Forensic Science Laboratory. I have applied for this internship myself only. The department help with the documents required for the internship. No stipend will be provided for the internship. You have to assist the laboratory staff and help them completing the projects on time.
Placement Experience :
There is no placement offered by the college. Internship should be done during the last semester. The minimum intership period is 1 month and the maximum is 3 months. You can do as much as interships during these 3 months. The students have to find out the institution where they are going to do the internship. The HOD will provide you with no objection certificate and letter of recommendation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total Tuition fee for a semester is 20000 rupees. There are total 4 semesters. The caution deposit is 10000 which should be paid along with the first semester tution fee. For registration we have to pay 500 rupees and the lab fee is 1000 rupees. There is scholarship for in state students and also for students from other backward categories.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good. There will be college fest in September also the conduct technical and cultural fest which is conducted by the student organisers. There is both Digital library and reading room full of with books. Student use library wisely and prepare notes for exams. There is a sports team in the campus. There is an Instagram page for the department of Forensic Science where all the things related to the department will be posted accordingly.
Hostel Facilities :
There is hostal facility available for both boys and girls. But food won't be provided. The students have to take food from the canteen or from hotels. The hostel fees is 9000 for a semester. I have taken PG for staying where I cooked myself. PGs will available all around the campus. So less tension for that.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
