- Lush Green Campus provides natural vibes to us.
- Hostels here are very good. We get almost all facilities that we need as a student.
Dislikes
- Language barrier in the college make difficult for non-bangla speakers
- No proper anti-ragging team in here. Ragging is not practiced here but if someone do there's no effective authority to stop it.
Remarks :
No such factor made me choose this college, but no option remains open to me due to the 75% criteria of NTA in 2023. That's why I chose this college. To be admitted into this college we need to appear in the WBJEE examination which is conducted annually and is an OMR-based examination and the syllabus is the same as that of JEE Main. After qualifying for the examination we need to further for counselling and admission processes.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In this college B. Tech IT is better to choose than B.Tech CSE. In the college, professors are enough qualified to deliver us the content we need for the engineering course. Some of the professors have done phd from IITs and some of them have taught in IITs so they have the experience. Sem exams and internals are almost conducted on time. The fees of this university are very much affordable and many scholarship opportunities are here for the students to get funded from the institutions which are helping students to get educated and achieve something in their life. Overall college is good.
Internships Opportunities :
There are internship opportunities for the students in this college. The students are taking advantage of the opportunities that are provided by the college team for the students. Generally, students get a stipend of ?15k (in 2023-23).
Placement Experience :
In this college, we see job opportunities. But, when you go with some research using Google or dome another website. They'll show you the placement scene is bad at this university. In some contexts those data are true. But here I am in the college and will tell you the actual thing in here. The websites generally show placement data for overall courses that are present here. But, when you specifically see the placement data for B.Tech courses the numbers are better.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus. I'll say just good because there are no open clubs in the college. In actuality, there is not so much but yes there's a language barrier in the college. Most of the faculties use the Bangla language for many purposes. So it is difficult for non-Bengali speakers to communicate with the faculties in the college. But when you talk with the faculties they will assist you in your desired language i.e. Hindi and English. There are sports and Music facilities. In hostels, we've washing machines for us and there are much better washrooms than we expected from a govt. College hostel. So overall campus life is good. There is so much greenery out there, that we can get full advantage of the natural vives around us. In short, we can live peacefully with free wi-fi everywhere inside the campus.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
