Remarks :
Good Aspects: Huge campus Campus Life Events Performance of students in All India Level Exams Central Library India's topmost KVK Bad Aspects: Quality of hostel rooms Mess food is the worst part Placement Cell is not that much active, max to max 3-5 students get placement every year Through Wbjee result I got admission, cutoff generally goes upto 10000 rank for general cast and 20000 for sc st. No GD or interview round is there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Agricultural Engineering has wide aspect and you can do masters in many subjects such as Food processing, soil and water consv engineering, Marine engineering, Aquaculture, Industrial Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power, GIS, and many more. Most of the faculties have PhD degree from renowned institutes. On the difficulty level i would rate 9 out of 10. Its tough to get CGPA above 8.5. From 2009 only 3 batches have topper with cgpa above 8.5.
Internships Opportunities :
I have completed internship training from Mother Dairy Calcutta, and few of my batchmates from Creambell and United Breweries. We got the internship by our personal information and college does not provide any internship. Also they give us only 1 month of internship window.
Placement Experience :
No backlogs is the one and only criteria. Some NGOs like Praadan, Prasari visits for placement and yearly approx. 5 offers are given. During training 20k and after 2 years of training 60k/month. Very less. Masters degree is mostly preferred or try for govt jobs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per Semester 12500/- if not residing in hostel. If residing in hostel then 13100/- Semester Fee does not increase or change semester-wise. At first for hostel caution money of 2400 have to paid which will be refunded by end of the degree course. Fees for all category students are same except for EWS. University Merit Scholarship of 1050 rs/semester available(175 rs per moth), topper of the course can avail 225rs/semester. Also Fee waiver can be availed after result.
Campus Life :
College Social in months of February. Viswakarma puja in months September. Freshers in Jan-Feb. All course related and other books are also available in the central library. Central library is located near to hostel and timing is from 10am-5pm. Digital classroom with digital board, projectors,smart board, AC, wifi. Different sports events are organized like marathon, Annua Sports Events etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality is too low, non veg and veg both are available and price is same. Currently rate is 80rs/day. At the time of admission if your home is too far from college then you will easily get hostel. I have rented near the hostel campus within 500m radius.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
