- great teacher : student ratio and in-depth classroom learning
- smaller batch sizes . typically no batch has more than 50 students
Dislikes
- less number of cafetarias inside campus but outside of campus there are plenty.
Remarks :
one have to appear an objective pattern admission test in mathematics with questions similar to JEE level. I prepared for this by solving the book prescribed by ISI Kolkata , i.e. The Test Of Mathematics At 10+2 Level.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of its modern curriculum with an emphasis on data sciences. The curriculum delves deep into both mathematics and computer science making one capable to pursue academia and corporate sector.
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently in my first year of undergraduate studies . hence i am ineligible to apply for internships. As far as i know the internship culture here is so great . the students work with the institute professors on various research areas and problems.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are great. To sit for placements one has to have minimum of 40% in their graduation score and must have passed all courses and back papers, if any . The highest package last year offered was of 89 lakhs. Nearly 100% students are placed because of small batch sizes .I may go into academia after my degree which is the most followed path here .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition Fees - 1 lakh per semester or 2 lakh per year other fees - 2500 per semester or 5000 per year fees to be paid in 1st semester only are given below seat acceptance fees - 20000 ( unreserved ) others -12000 library fees - 3000 for all Medical Fees - 1500 for all for SC/ST students there is no tuition fees. Fee waivers are available on basis of parental income. for income between 1 lakh and 5 lakh per annum , 66.67% of tuition fees is waived off and for parental income less than 1 lakh per annum there is complete waiver of tuition fees.
Campus Life :
Integration fest is conducted in late january or february each year. The library is huge and has more than 1 lakh books and more than 50000 in maths alone . there is one sports club that looks after all the sporting events . extracurriculars are not that great but still enjoyable.
Hostel Facilities :
I have rented a room in U B COLONY Locality. The walking distance to campus is around 200 meters and takes maximum 5 minutes to finally reach the classroom . The area is quiet and full of mess facility providers and every kind of shops.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
