- Nice lush green campus and less crowd makes it quite good and the standard faculties and their teaching approach is better even than iits.
- More opportunities and excellence in the statistics and computer science field
Dislikes
- Less social and cultural involvement and much tougher academic studies
- We can only study stats and cs here and we don't have any chance to learn other subjects making it a less flexible college.
Remarks :
Less people in the college is a good point leading to a bit less crowd and the uniqueness of the degree is a great factor. The college is lush green and beautiful with a lot of lakes. Seniors are always there to help us. It's the best place to learn stats and maths. I wouldn't say I liked the social aspect here because nothing is done on a bigger scale. Also, regarding the entrance, it has two parts, uga and ugb. The uga part is objective and ugb is tough and subjective. The cutoff for gen is a rank of about 55. I prepared for the exam by studying Olympiad books, which helped me a lot along with jee prep.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is way more rigorous. It is quite tough and the exams are set hard. The fee here is 0. Only you have to pay is the mess fee. The professors here are quite good and they all have done PhD and doctorates from some great universities hence here they just make us realize and understand things quite well. Here we get a stipend of 5000 per month.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't yet. The internship opportunities are quite good. Companies like JPMC, Goldman Sachs, American Express, and some other big opportunities provide these intern roles and also pay a nice amount of money.
Placement Experience :
The job opportunities here are quite good. 100 percent placement record is something unique here. Also, the roles offered are data scientist, risk analyst, and data analyst. (Quite high paying) . Also, interested people easily get PhD in foreign top universities
Campus Life :
It's not that good. Due to less crowd, the college isn't even popular. Although u may get opportunities in everything, we can't do something on really a big scale. Here there is nothing to find about your talent, sticking to one subject is the main focus here. We have a fest named Integration which is quite good and we celebrate on a big scale. We have sports, and cultural events and some band programs to conclude it.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
