Likes
- The college has a library which is so big that is expended to over 3 floors. I really like the library.
- The college has a very big canteen which offer very many mouth watering food. I really like the canteen too.
Dislikes
- The building are a bit old. This is one thing I think could be improved.
- Also not all classroom have air conditioners and those which have are having very old ac which I think could be improved.
Remarks :
I was initially very interested in Mathematics and statistics. I was very intrigued by how we interpret so much data from just a single graph or pie chart. I wanted to explore further into this domain of statistics. I also aimed to to become a data analyst. So when I started my search for how can I achieve my aim then I found out about the isi college which is known as the best college for statistics.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is a 4 year course. There is also a choice to exit after 3 years without receiving the bachelors degrees. Also we can also further study after 4 years for 1 year after completing which we will recieve the masters degree too. I have 4 main subjects and 1 elective. The teachers are highly knowledgeable and humble. There are exams every month or after 2 months. In one semester there is a mid semester and an end semester exam.
Internships Opportunities :
I am in first year so I am not year eligible for any internships but various other students who are in 3rd or third final year are pursuing some of other internship. In the internship they do the research on maths and statistics.
Placement Experience :
The placement cell is very good. They always do their work in bringing the top companies very nicely. Every year various companies like Amazon,Google,etc. come to recruit students. The students are also happy with the opportunities being offered.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee of my college is 200000. There are also fee waiver for various students. Students whose family income is between 1 to 5 lakhs receive 66.67% fee waiver whereas the students which have family income less than 1 lakh recieve full 100% fee waiver. Also the students who belong to Sc/St category also recieve full 100% fee waiver.
Campus Life :
The campus is very good. I am enjoying my campus life. The campus consists of beautiful lakes and temples. The annual fest here is called INTEGRATION and a lot of mathematical and extracurricular events are held.
Hostel Facilities :
The food in the hostel mess is very mouth watering and very tasty. The mess is also very clean. There is no compromisation in cleanliness. The food is properly cooked. The menu is made keeping in mind what the students like and is updated when needed. Overall my mess experience was very good

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
Review of my collage
Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
