- Air conditioned rooms and smart board which is used for teaching. Only this much can be liked in this college and the faculty members are also nice
Dislikes
- There is nothing a person can like in this college in regard to infrastructure except fully air conditioned rooms and a smart board. There is no campus life, such a small college. No area for students to play sports and socially interact except classrooms
Remarks :
Good Aspects-The teaching faculty is very nice and the staffs overall have a very friendly and calm behaviour. The placement cell is very active on placing the student in highly paid jobs. Infrastructure is nice, there are a minimum of 2 A.C. per classroom and a smart board for a high-end teaching experience. Bad aspects - There is nothing in the name of campus, its just 4 floors with rooms and no canteen or a recreational area. There is no parking for the student and staffs of the college, everyone has to pay for parking their vehicles. There is no social life such as clubs or activites and no sports or extra curricular activities. It's just way too costly with the bare minimum amenities offered to a student. For a new admission academic merit, aptitude test and individual meeting is taken place and based on that merit lists is given. I prepared for individual meeting by gaining some general knowledge and studyint about the course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen management in this college since it was the best in Kolkata and also the college was certified to a renowned university- Jadavpur University. The college faculty is nice but overall they don't know how to manage students and run a college The faculty is well qualified with most of them holding a PhD degree. There were two exams, mid term and end sem
Placement Experience :
Job opportunities are plenty enough to get a good placement and a high experience before continuing with further studies. There is a compulsory internship before completing the sixth semester. There is a good percent of students getting placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
On the year of admission every course has to pay twice the fee normally for rest of the semesters because it includes admission fee, education/tuition fee and examination fee. There are total six types of courses which can be persued in this college:-.Food Science and Nutrition Management- ?96,850 (?93,150 Tuition fee and ?3,700 examination fee), Textiles and Fashion Technology-?91,600 (?87,900 Tuition fee and ?3700 examination fee), Interior Designing- ?91,600 (?87,900 Tuition fee and ?3700 examination fee), Human Development- ?91,600 (?87,900 Tuition fee and ?3,700 examination fee), Management- ?92,800 (?89,100 tuition fee and ?3,700 examination fee) and Commerce- ?62,800 (?59,100 Tuition fee and ?3,700 education fee). Fee structure is same among the second and the third year, whereas first year's fees might vary due to changes in admission fees and miscellaneous. There is a scholarship provided only at the end semester if a student has attended all the classes for five semesters.
Campus Life :
There is no social life at this college, if you can make friends then only you can have a social life outside college but there are no steps taken by the college for social interaction. Neither there's a sports ground, nor a recreational area. Only one group is there- NSS( National Service Scheme) which is active only when the head teacher feels like. The student have no role.
Hostel Facilities :
I have stayed for a year in a PG which was just 10 minutes away from the college campus. The rent was 15000 per month, so the accomodation and fooding was just right enough to live a healthy life because the menu was decided by the students living in the pg itself. The locality was Bhawanipur.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
