- Faculty is superb. Feels like the professors here help us like our teachers used to in schools
Dislikes
- Infrastructure could have been better … the campus is pretty small
- More engagement programs and fests will let student get out pf there comfort zone
Remarks :
I chose this college because of the good placement opportunities for bcom students and the name of the college is great enough to be known to everyone that it is a good college. The campus is pretty small and there are less fests and programs that are organised in the college . But we do participate and get invited to every college. Our teachers and principals are super supportive in every situation and even support us if want something to be happening in college. Our faculty is really hardworking and helpful. Our college is very strict in regarding to attendance that makes student very disciplined and focused. Overall it is good experience to be a student of this college. Admission process here is on merit basis thus we didn’t have to follow all these steps.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have major interest in field of finance so I chose bcom hons. The college does provide scholarships. The fees in comparison to other colleges in Kolkata is bit high but the faculty is good. The professors and highly qualified and helpful. The exams are difficult and you wont be able to clear it if you don’t study.
Internships Opportunities :
I’m in second year and the internship and placements start in third year. Though we get lot of internships opportunities in our college groups that we can opt for. The stipend is decent for a college going student
Placement Experience :
Placement faculty in amazing of the college and great companies come on board here. If not from college placement I get a job….the name of the college will help me further while applying in companies.
Campus Life :
Campus life is average. As I’m from a different city and live a pg, it makes cost of living and doing this course a bit expensive. My pg costs 9000 just for the lodging.And the cost of fooding is seperate.

Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
