- Faculty for the department of information technology could be improved
- sports like Cricket, Archery, hockey and martial arts should be introduced
Remarks :
There was a minimum requirement for the passing % of 12 which was 55 and followed by online exam in the amity student portal where 3 basic questions about us and one course related question was asked to record and submit. the admission process is pretty simple once ther exam is cleared and offer letter is available, only the fees which is 80500 in my case is to be paid and student id is issued.
Course Curriculum Overview :
A thourough knowledge of Computer applications is provided in this course and the faculty mainly focuses on the real time application part where lab work is mainly given importance. All the faculty were qualified as DR. i.e most of them had phds were well qualified in this field. diffulty level is fair and there is a continous evaluation process apart from the end semester examinations which makes it a little busy calendar for the whole year for the students.
Internships Opportunities :
No i have not opted for internship so won't be able to provide a opinion in this. But opportunities from good companies do come up for internships but hardly few provide any kind of stipends. Industrial experiences are provided by 3rd party intenship companies like ardent computech and digisoft.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are plenty for students having actually some extraoridinary talent or else it is unlikely to get placed with a 3 year degree like bca though placement cell brings a lot of companies to the campus like google, ibm, sap labs, amazon but mostly students in btech cse and pg students are preferred.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1st 2 semesters students have to 60500 and additional 20000 as security deposit which is refundable once the course ends,eligible students who for scolarship gets some rebate but that's only for the 1st year, fee structure is followed by 64500 for next 2 sems i.e 2nd year fees and 67500 for the last 2 semesters. January and july are two months where the fees are to be paid for the upcoming semesters for all students. No additional fee or amount is taken apart from this during the whole course
Campus Life :
Life in the campus is absolutely outstanding, as i said it is a busy calendar for the students because along with academics amity has events lined up almost every month of the year where the annual fest (amiphoria) takes place in the month of february and the inter amity sports meet (sanghatan) takes place in septermber. Apart from these 2 big events ebvery festival has its events and evets like DJ Nights, inter colledge competetions are a usual thing in the campus. All types of clubs are available from dance to photography to music fashion and what not. Sports includes swimming, all court sports and a nicely maintained artificial turf for football.
Hostel Facilities :
I personally have not applied for hostel but having friends in hostel and honestly its at par with a 3 star hotel with all essential ammenitites and clean big bathrooms. The campus includes 3 big cafetrias and cafe coffee day too. Rented rooms and PGs are readily avaialable at affordable prices near the campus in the newtown area and shapoorji area. Just a reminder the campus is centrally air conditioned as well as the hostel, so students get ac hostel as only option.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
