Personally I did had any interviews to get into Amity University Kolkata. They checked my class 10-12 result and took me in as I had a good percentage. But every new comer should expect an interview round.
I chose BBA as I always has an interest about business environment. The faculty members of AUK is definately greatly qualified and their way of teaching is quite interesting and easy for students to understand. Mid terms are conducted two months after the classes starts and it's not very hard to score good marks if you study well and be attentive in class.
I did not opted for any internship yet as I am in first year of the college. The intership period starts mostly from 4th semester as far we know. But looking forward to be an intern in future and give my best
All the top recruiter companies visits the campus. The students with good knowledge and communication skills, strong cv have high chances of getting selected for the intership provided by Amity University Kolkata
Per semester students need to pay 1,20,000 and the total fee is around 650000. Scholarships are provided for students who have a good percentage in their boards, like students whose percentage are above 75% will get 25% scholarships, above 85% will get 50% for the first two semesters.
Ami phoria is conducted in the month of JAN-FEB and it's lit ofcourse. Even the library is one of the most crucial part of our college as it provides almost all types of books the students required as and when. There are a lot of extracurricular activities and clubs like fashion club, event club, sports club, etc
Pg (bc block street number 103) action area 1 . The pg is quite affordable. The food here is good and cheap for students. The security is high. And the area is quiet and peaceful. They also provide wifi, fridge, washing machine and all other amenities
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
