Likes
- I mostly like the friendly behaviour with my seniors, they treat you like a own little brother or sister. Faculties are also good.
- I like it more when it comes to the sports day even when it's IT vs CSE. The heating atmospehere is the most loved one for me as a participant.
- The fest days are unforgettable for us every year. We all enjoy too much and wait every year for that day.
- While doing projects, you'll notice the humbleness and helpes coming from faculties. They'll help you to make it more and more better that could highlight your cv.
Dislikes
- I wished a playground at campus as an athelete, rather it's a huges campus still it has only indoor games ike TT, carrom etc.
- The parking place could be bigger than usual for the students.
Remarks :
I know many seniors to whom I asked about this college and experience and they made a good canvas. The environement and other ways it's so indulged for me to finalize. On the time of my admssion, tution fees was less so it was much more affordable anyways. The most exciting days are sports and Fest days. You'll actually feel it in the air. In my way, I got a better college. Also, it accepts Student credit card loan. It helped me a lot. You can get admission in regular courses through WBJEE and JEE. For lateral entry, you've to give JELET exam to get entry. Otheriwse for management and all it is discussable through authority. I'm a lateral stduent so I prepared well, my rank was then around 6000 and I got admitted in 3rd round of councilling. For getting admission in CSE, You've to prepare well for this.
Course Curriculum Overview :
After the CSE dept, IT is most infulential yes underrated in this college. From faculties to teaching methods they have great methods to teach you from the most easiest way. The Labs are well maintained and have one research lab with Macs' facilitity. The university exams are alwasy on time and before time as well in advance. The difficulty is always easy if you attend the classes well. The classes have CCTV so you can't cheat during any exams while it's internal or external exams in lab as well. The faculties are mostly PHD holders and Masters. Every classroom have projectors and they teach you in a well structured way at their best. While doing projects, you'll get to know how efficient they're while it is publishing research papers or doing projects.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies also the university offers you internships. Like JU, Cognizant offers internships with stripend. I got an internship in a startup and my job was to give technical support in web development.
Placement Experience :
The main eligibility is NO BACKLOG. Other than that, 60% min average is required to get shortlisted in 10th, 12th or equivalent and current course. Recently, Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, Sap labs and digitalX visited our campus and recruited a decent amount of students. previous year the highest package was on and around 15Lpa and average was 3.6. On and average, 60-70% students get placed but all that matters is your performance during placemnts, college can't do anything. I am planning in both ways, either to go for a masters by giving GATE or if I'm placed then will do it in online.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For regular students: On the time of admission, payble amount is Rs. 1,00,575. After that, 2nd to 8th semester it is Rs. 69,575. For Lateral Entry (3Years): At the time od admission, payble amount is Rs. 99,575. After that 4th to 8th semester it is Rs. 69,575. For 1st Semester the fees structure is: Admission fee: 10,000 (one time) Tution fee: 60,500 Development fee: 9,075 Library & Book Bank fee: 6,000 (One time) Students welfare, sports & games fee: 4000 (one time) Caution Deposit: 10,000 (one time)(Refunded after coourse completion) Admission kit: 1,000(non-refundable) Total: 1,00,575 Fee for 2nd to 8th: Tution fee - 60,500, development fee - 9,075, Total - 69,575, University Dev and Reg. - 2,700 (One time) For Lateral entry: For 1st sem Structure is same unlike sports, it's 3000. for 4th to 8th sem, structure is same as regular. There're no institutional scholership other than state and national level scholerships like SVMCM, Aikyasree, PMSS etc.
Campus Life :
We have two fests, one is Cultural fest which is Elixer and other one is tech Fest. Cultural fest is organized every 4th year. but tech fest is conducted every year. One of biggest cultural fest is organized by our college every year which is in every media and magazines. In the tech fest, every other colleges and schools also participate in this. This a well waited fests for all the students. In terms of books and journals, at the starting of your journey u will be crediteed with a ABC id. In library, you'll get the full access of books as well as digital ones. The digital library stock is huge on the other hand, the stock of books is pretty good on account of curriculumn and other. From dance shows, fashion fiesta, Teachers day, freshers every other thing is celebrated with enthusiasm. We all participate in this. In terms of sports, boys and girls both compete in departmental competitions every year like football, cricket, throwball etc. Till now, we've a drama club and more to come.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
