- well equipped library with good books of different subs
- good labs for experiments which are really important
- good canteen with cheap food and meal are also available
Dislikes
- no proper playground in campus which makes it boring
- no a/c classrooms which can be a problem is summer for a few students
Remarks :
this college have very poor placements, and no proper internships. everything has to do by you. If you try to work somewhere or do some work, which will affect your attendance, college will put pressure to stop it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
the course is good, but few of the faculty members are really dumb, and very bookish. but there are a few teachers, who are really knowledgeable and they can be seen as mentors. one good thing about this college is about is exams, you cant cheat and you actually have to study here
Internships Opportunities :
no such internship is offered from college, but any paid internships can be found among the student groups. best is to ask the seniors for suggestions regarding internships. and workout on it by yourself.
Placement Experience :
eligibility criteria for placements depend for company to company, still its suggested to have a CGPA of 8.0 for a smooth process and good package, our common recruiters are TCS, Cognizent, and many more. the average package offered is around 450000 pa
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
yearly we need to pay a fee of 155000 INR in two parts, which is in 2 semester exams of a year. scholarships can be availed in college for minor candidates, and other can do for student credit card for loan
Campus Life :
campus life is boring, nothing exciting and no such big events. if you are looking for events and stuff, then you will be disappointed here. no open space, for a stage or anything, seminars are held mostly, which are ok ok, but theres a grand fest named ELIXER, which is fun, but it happens only once in 3 years.
Hostel Facilities :
yes i stay in the college hostel. the hostel is nice, with clean spacious rooms, proper hygiene bathrooms, decent food and with additional lift and wifi facility which is good enough for a hostel. the hostel management staff is really very friendly and helpful

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
