- Campus life is good. Infrastructure is quite impressive.
- Most important is the reasonable and affordable course price . Also the Course structure with combination of major and minor,makes the resume more stronger and provides the knowledge and skill more.
Dislikes
- College location is very boring. As the locality is typically urban, good shoping complex, restaurants and multi stores are missing here.
- Placement is not as per my expectations. Also few faculties are very unfriendly in teaching, helping and guiding.
Remarks :
This is a government approved College. So here all courses are at very affordable price. Also it is the main campus,so it's the University as well that helps students with more informations, opportunities and experiences. Here BCA is completely 4yr UG course with minor courses for full time that makes students' resume strong with knowledge also.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Here,BCA is 4yr UG course along with minor courses choices like Robotics with AI&ML, Forensic Science,BBA, Animation, Statistics etc. Here few faculties are good and knowledgeable and also easy to approach.
Internships Opportunities :
No as I'm a 2nd year student, I don't have opted any internship yet. And have heard that internship opportunities are average here. But if you have skill and knowledge then definitely can have good internship from various sources.
Placement Experience :
Placement is avarage on campus here. Infosys,TCS And many other companies come every year. Average placement goes around 4-5 LPA. I prefer to apply on campus and off campus both to secure your career. Getting internship is quite average. But if you stay active and skillful then definitely can have good internship and placement as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I enrolled my BCA course in 2023, at that time Admission fee that I've paid is 4,000 rs. Tution fees(Semester Fees) is 20,000 per Sem. Admission Caution money I've paid for one time is 8000 rs. Development fee was 2,200rs. Registration fee was 500rs. Examination fee remains 1200 rs per Sem Exam. Here Hostel accommodation is also available,you may go for it. Hostel Caution money was 10000 rs. And Hostel Fee per semester is 9,700 rs. So without Hostel accommodation, Accademic Fee is 1,83,600 rs for 4yr BCA course. And here is no hidden or increasing charge for the entire course.
Campus Life :
Campus life is overall good as it is totally ragging free campus. Even most of the seniors are helpful and interactive. Campus contains sitting areas and food stalls,tea stalls, cafeterias. Gym is also free here. Hostel canteen is also good. Infrastructure wise it is quite good. Even Hostel is quite comfortable. Here are many clubs on various fields like gaming,Coding, Placement discussion, Anime, Singing and Dancing, Chess, Photography,Poetry and Tech culb etc. which inspires, entertains and also offers knowledges and opportunities.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted Hostel accommodation.But my many batchmates stay there, so I've visited many times. Rooms are very good and clean and hygienic. There all are seperate beds,study table and a medium sized almirah for each student. Chilled and normal drinking water is available. Elevator is there . So overall hostel is quite impressive.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
