- Nothing is likeable about the college, it used to be good placements where almost everyone got placed to 50 out of 250+, so nothing is good here and college does not allow its students to take intership
Dislikes
- Everything food, faculties, campus, placements, getting parents call if you have low attendance or they charge you 500/- per subject as a fine
Remarks :
I chose this college because it was near my house and had a very good placement record. No group discussions or interviews during admission, you can enter by giving WBJEE or JEE exam and cut off varies and changes every year but during my time it was below 8000 in WBJEE for CSE
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of its demand. MAKAUT is trash and there are many subjects which are unrelated to the course the qualification of the teachers are good but their teaching quality is quite poor there are few teachers which are actually good and cares for the students but most of the teachers try to give hard time to students especially in 4th year. The exams during December are often postpended to January due to hackathon and the papers are quite easy not that tough if you study.
Placement Experience :
Placements used to be very good which made me select the college but it lasted till 2023 (300+ offers) where there were more offers than students but from 2024 came the downfall where the no of on campus placement did not even cross 60 most of the students got from off-campus or pursued further studies. I am in 7th sem and will pass out in 2025 but till now the no of students got placed in on campus is 50 out of 250+

Campus Life :
only freshers during September and farewell during may are done and nothing else Books in the library are very old and even if you take it you will just keep it aside the quality of the books are bad and they are almost 5-10 years old, there are even books from 1990's. No amenities - bad quality desk and chairs and few broken, broken windows which they never replace, there are projector and black board. Cricket, football, table tennis, badminton and carrom are available in common rooms, ground and badminton court there are tournaments held for that throughout the whole year. Nope nothing of that sort, college does not allow them and even force students to close them if they find out any kind of social groups
Hostel Facilities :
No hostel rooms present but nearby there are lots of PGs which my friend lives in. The quality of food in canteen is very bad and unhygienic but its good for improving your immune system or challenge your body and quite expensive.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
