My opinion on my college
Likes
- Campus life is decent and mix of many other good stuff like academic and extracurricular activities, contributing to both personal and professional growth.
- The college host several notable events like Edge organized by the Geekonix Club and Anakhronosh by the Anakhrosh club. There are also other events there in the college
Dislikes
- The things I dislike about my college is campus life which is not that great my college doesn't provide hostels and the library is also very small. There is no specific ground in the college
- The administration department of my college is very below average. There is no common room, no gym, no indoor playing facilities.
Remarks :
The Reason I chosen this college because of my WBJEE rank, which is the requirement condition of the admission in the institution. My college rank among the top 5 colleges in West Bengal, which made it an appealing choice for me. The quality of education, reputation, and competitive nature of the college stood out of me. On comparing to other colleges, I applied to, my college offers a comprehensive course curriculum that aligns well with my academic goals. The faculty's expertise, although needing some improvements in terms of approachability. The college provides great student engagement through clubs and societies. The infrastructure is decent but better than some of the outdated institutions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I am perusing is CSBS which is decent course but there a lot of other better course there like cse, cse-AIML, It there placements are better and stable then my course. The faculty are good sometime but also bad in some condition like in teaching wise some of the faculties are very great. They will assist you throughout our problem. But in some cases there will be ups & downs.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in my first year I am not experienced enough to get a internships but if you work on your skills you will definitely get a good internship , As my seniors are doing internships. In my college the internship opportunities are not that great but average.
Placement Experience :
As the first-year student, I don't have that much data on campus placements yet. However, according to my seniors I can share what I know so far. Students become eligible for placements starting form the 5th-6th semester depending on the college's placement guidelines. I don't have detailed data about specific companies or the exact number of offers. According to me the average is like 5 lakhs and highest is 25 lakhs. As for my plans after completing the course if the campus placement doesn't work for me . I am considering pursuing further studies like MBA or M-tech in AIML and on the other hand I will look for internships, jobs opportunities in the tech industries.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure for my course is pretty transparent and not too high. As a general category student, I pay an annual tuition of 1,61,000 rupees. Over and above that, there are lab development fees of 1200 rupees, registration fees of 500 rupees and exam fees of 1200 per semester. So over the 4-year course duration what I would pay amount of 6,05,000 . the tuition fee decreases in the first place and the gradually increases in the later years of the course. The total fees of student falling under the TFW category are relatively much lower. In this category, the total fees for all 8 semesters are 2,18,000 rupees which is an excellent opportunity for deserving students. There are several scholarships offered by the college, mostly for student from West Bengal like SVMCM and Aikyashree. There is no extra one-time charges such as hostel , transportation, or caution money. The fees' structure is well-designed with clear categories.
Campus Life :
The campus life is below average the overall college area is very small there is not ground for playing and the library is very small there no chilling spots like cafe or other franchises. The college social is very nice there are multiple clubs. Like IIC which is a entrepreneurship club which provide opportunities for your startups and there a club name samarth which is a educational club, that will help you for your future studies. And there a club name tecnotkarsh which is a sports club which provide you exposer in the college by hosting various events. There are other good clubs too. Classrooms are decent like your school like but in better way. The infrastructure is not that good but average .
Hostel Facilities :
No there is no facilities of hostels in this college u have to arrange your own living expense by your own like pg or flat. There is a lot of pg in the radius of 1.5km having good food and facilities according to your budget and there is also affiliated pg which is connected to the college you can access that in the college campus itself. The pg's are affordable as well as costly too it is up to you what you want to choose.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
Review of my collage
Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
