- The Classrooms are big ,spacious ,very much comfortable . Labs are fully air - conditioned, providing a positive environment. There is a lift facility in every building.
- the library is excellent .offering a good collection of books and a peaceful environment.
Dislikes
- The college campus is quite small, and there is no playground available.
- canteen facilities are not very satisfactory.
Remarks :
No, for admission students does not need to go through any kind group discussions or interviews. Student can get admission through wbjee examination, Jee mains and management quota, based on the rank the branch is allotted. For preparation focus on physics, chemistry and mathematics. Solve previous year question paper.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Every semester we have to appear for 4 CAs and 2 PCA exam. CA 1 includes a presentation , CA 2 includes a report and assignment submission, CA 3 consists of a written test ,CA 4 is conducted by the university as an MCQ test, PCA1 and PCA 2 are Practical assessments and then end semester exam. The schedule of the examination is provided by the university. The teaching skill for the faculty is very impressive and interesting.
Internships Opportunities :
Accenture , Cognizant , Infosys provides the internship the stipends depends upon the company. The roles offered are genc, Genc next , Genc pro, associate , Advanced Senior associate . different companies offers different roles.
Placement Experience :
The average package offered by the college is 4 LPA and the highest package is 11 LPA. Almost 85-90 % students get placed from the college. The company offered different roles such as Associate , Senior Associate , System Engineer, Specialists Programmer etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The first semester includes tuition fees ,caution fees which is 10000,libray fees 6000,develoment fees which we have only during the admission time. After that we only have to pay the tuition which is 45000 and the tuition fees changes every semester and every semester we have to 1200 as examination fees. Any type of Scholarship is not provided by college. the central government and state government provides scholarship which is almost 50000 per year. Students who got admission through tuition fee wavier quota they not need to pay tuition , they only pay the examination fees.
Campus Life :
Every year in the month of march tech fest is organized and in every three years cultural fest is organized. In college students organize teachers day, fresher s party , farewell party. also college celebrates saraswati pooja, Vishwakarma puja. In sports college offers both indoor and outdoor games. Outdoor games for boys are football and cricket, for girls throw ball. There are many forums in college such as performing arts forum, Literary forum, Orator's forum, Sports forum, Visual arts forum and technical forum. clubs includes GDSC club, ACM club, IEEE club .
Hostel Facilities :
hostel facility is provided by college , hostel fees is 7000 per month , the food quality is average in taste . Rooms are 3 member sharing with attached bathroom and also without attached bathroom, water filter in every floor and a common fridge. No kitchen facility is available.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
