- The infrastructure is decent, and the main highlight is it's location.
- The faculties of IT department are good and helpful and supportive.
Dislikes
- The Campus itself , no Campus to roam around , just buildings and buildings.
- The faculties of ECE department is horrible, Don't opt for ECE , it'll be a blunder in this College.
Remarks :
The Best thing about this college is it's prime location , In Haldirams (near Kaikhali). The Campus ground is NA. There are three Main Buildings(A,B,C). Choose this college if you can compromise your campus life for studies. The teachers are good and supportive (varies with departments). You can get admission through Wbjee/ Jee Main At almost any rank nowadays . Compared to earlier times when at 18,000 Wbjee rank I got IT and not CSE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This college comes under MAKAUT. So , the course outcome is obvious. I would encourage you to learn skills in your own rather than being dependent of faculties. They offer mainly four courses for B Tech .... CSE, IT,ECE,EE .
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internships , You can apply for internships on your own without any help from others , you have to work hard to crack it . Take help of the best open source platform , YouTube. Everything is available for almost free.
Placement Experience :
As I am currently in 4th Yr , with it's ongoing placement scenario. The things aren't as good as I expected it to be. The companies which are mass recruiter they came and took a few students and maximum of our students are still unplaced, Let's see where this goes till mid 2025
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For the Year 2021-2025 the Fee Structure was 4,00,000 But as of now currently it is 5.8 Lakhs/ 4 Years Which is roughly around 1,40,000 per Year The tution fees , admission fees everything is included in the amount and Per semester it comes around 70,000 Except for the First semester where it's 99,990 . There are various Scholarships you can avail based on merit , quota Which includes SVMCM , AIKYASHREE etc. There are scholarships available for minorities and for girls also.
Campus Life :
Negligible campus and social Life , Ahh just outside the building there's main road and other shops , No ground is available for activities like football or basketball or cricket ,You can play indoor games like Table Tennis and Carrom.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for hostel rooms as I travel from Barasat (it takes roughly 45 mins). But as I have heard from my friends , The quality of the food is good enough and the hostel are affordable and within walking distance

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
