- The campus infrastructure is really good . All the amenities that is like necessarily important are present in the campus like the playground and all the sport items , the labs are well equipped , the washrooms are always cleaned , the medical room mostly have all the necessary things .
- The faculties are really helpful and they clear all the doubts you have even after the class.
- The food that is found in the canteen and in the mess is quite affordable and also tastes quite good and there are variety of food .
Dislikes
- Some faculties are there who gets on your nerves , doesn't give you attendance properly and also does partiality but there are very faculties like this .
- There is a bit of partiality in the clubs with the students as it is runned by students only so they intend to give their friends or the people they know more chance than the others which is partiality.
Remarks :
The factor that made me choose this college was they were the best in west bengal for biotechnology.No there were no interviews or written test ...you can simply just show your 12th marksheet and get admission on merit
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as it is a growing field and the future in this course it quite bright and also I like to do research work so it is very helpful for me . The best thing aboutthis course is that it makes you industry ready. Every faculty in my course have mostly done their PhD s . The term exams are semester wise and also there is midsem which occurs between the semester and each semester is approximately of 4 months and the difficulty of the exam is moderate .It's not that hard if you follow the class
Internships Opportunities :
The companies that comes for internship are amazon , flipkart, deloitte,wipro, TCS , etc and the roles offered are they assist the laboratory research, data analysis ,etc and mostly they don't give any stipend and these are not paid internships.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement is toh have to score good marks which is above 8 cgpa to get a good job and also to improve your skills outside from studies. Few visited recruiters are amazon, flipkart, cognizant,etc. The highest pay is around 8-9 lpa and the average is 5-6 lpa depends on the company and profiles offered. Percentage of students who gets placement is around 76% . My plans after getting this degree is to opt for m.sc and with that I will also prepare for government jobs .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fees- 613000 1st and 2nd sem- 71000 each 3rd and 4th sem- 74500 each 5th and 6th sem- 78500 each 7th and 8th sem- 82500 each If you have above 75% marks in physics ,chemistry, biology and English in 12 then u have to pay 532500 in first two semester and also if you come 1st ,2nd or 3rd in 1st year then you will get 100% scholarship in 2nd year and if you come 4th, 5th or 6th in 1st year then you will get 50% scholarship in next year.
Campus Life :
In Amity the biggest fest is Amiphoria and it occurs in the last of February or first of March every year. You don't need to buy books , all the notes are provided by respective subject professors and if any book is needed you would easily get those in library. In the classroom the projector doesn't work that well and also there is no dustbin and no Cctv camera but the seat and benches are quite good . All type of sports and extracurricular activities are conducted in the campus . There is fixed timing for hostellers and day scholars to play sports like table tennis, swimming, badminton, basketball,etc . There is also gym available. There are multiple clubs that the students run by themselves such as event club, fashion club , sculpture club , debate club ,dance club ,music club ,etc.
Hostel Facilities :
No I have not opted for any hostel but yeah I have few friends from hostel and according to them hostel is quite neat and clean . The food quality of mess is good and there are variety of food items available. You can register for hostel during your admission process only and its not really cheap ,it's kind off in a expensive side . I do live in PG in Kadampukur which is only 15 mins walking distance from Amity and its quite cheap and affordable than hostel fees. It takes me around 7k for my single room with kitchen and also this PG provide washing machine facility and security facility which is very helpful for me .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
