- Clubs - there are plenty of clubs in which everyone actively participate and hence the co curricular side is improved giving a holistic development of the students and making them responsible for any position of responsibility for the future
- Seniors - we got lovely seniors always ready to help. They guide and help us in the correct way and are really very friendly.
Dislikes
- Campus - it is small since present in an official area surrounded with buildings
- Absence of a hostel- always wanted a hostel Life in college, but didn't get it here
Remarks :
I gave wbjee examination and got scrabk of around 8k. After thoroughly ranking the colleges available under wbjee, TMSL seemed quite nice for me. The advantage is the location of the college. Located completely at the tech areabof kolkata,salt lake where the offices of all big techs are present, hence the opportunity is more. Yeah the campus is a bit small because it is present in official area with Many buildings around. This college also comes in top 3 for private institutes in Kolkata. Wbjee is a well known examination having subjects like phy ,chem and maths. Similar to jee mains level. Its good to prepare for it before hand in order to get a good college and also the counselling part requires attention. Should be very mindful and careful while giving the exam and after that too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I always had interest in information technology. The qualification of the faculty is quite impressive because there are teachers with post doc degree from foreign countries. Many having degrees from IIT. Teaching method is okayish. Teacher do teach well but sometimes it feels like school. Yes the teachers are helpful, they always respond to our problems and try to solve them. They help a lot before exams. The exams are conducted by makaut. There are 4 CA exams and 2 PCA exams and 1 semester exams in 1 semester. These are conducted within a span of around 6 months or so till the semester lasts. The level of difficulty would be medium level . It maintains standard as an engineering exam should be. Overall there is a heavy emphasis on academics .
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria depends on what the company sets. The placement is relatively better in our department because of the strict and disciplined nature of the hod and facilities who help a lot during placements. Recruiters like Wipro, TCS, cognizant and many more are there. Offers made are quite good in the department. The range of packages offered can be from 3- 15 lpa. Many students also go for off campus hiring bagging more lucrative packages. Placed percent in our department is around 80%. I plan to join a hight paying job after the degree or towards higher education.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is submitted semester wise. A total of around 150000 is required per year consisting of 2 semesters. This includes all tution fees, development fees, admission fees. For exams conducted by makaut we have to pay 1200 fir every semester exams. There is no differentiation on the basis of caste like sc ,st as such. Yes there are scholarships facilities available like swami vivekananda and more. Also west bengal student credit card is available. Loan sanction are rather fast and college coordinates very nicely. People in the admin office really helps a lot. Scholarships are available, you have to have a talk with the admin office.
Campus Life :
One of the biggest fest conducted in the area after IIT kgp is Anakhronos , the official cultural fest of TMSL. Conducted in April or May. Everyone waits the whole year for this event. The scale of the event is huge. Library is available, but not that big. We do have a reading room where students study and do their work. Books can be borrowed easily,there are a good collection of booksin the library. Extra curricular activities and sports facilities are really very good. Every month infact every week there are events conducted. Sports are a really big thing here. Extracurricular activities are conducted every now and then with active participation. Students here are enthusiastic of such events. There are many clubs in the college like education club, cultural club, sports club , entrepreneurship club and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is not available in the college. I have opted for a PG nearby. The PG is in sector 2 while the college is in sector 5 . Hardly 20 min away from college. Its quite good. There are many pg and rental rooms available for students. The locality is really good. Regular police patrolling is done making it a quite secured area. The place where I am staying can be said is a posh area with responsible people living here .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
