Likes
- As I have said the faculty is very transparent with the student and have a good Bond with us. As long as we follow the rules they are fine with anything. They do not invade e our privacy and neither do we. Few of the faculties have totally become our friend. They are very chatty but yet serious when they are teaching. They know the difference of when they need to be empathetic and when they need to be serious and teacher properly.
- Instructor is stop not and the campus life is very fun. You make friends with the right people you are on for a good college life.
Dislikes
- No only problem that I don't like I face is the problem with the lift and washrooms. For me I feel like that should be a box for female sanitary pads and other necessaries in our washroom with better lighting and clean toilets. And to talk about the lift I feel very disrested because I mean there are 7 lifts our block and only 2 r working. So it's irritating.
- To talk about campus life is that you need to make good friends here. As you might feel better for more and lonely around here because everyone is having a group and they have fun so it's not exactly disliking quality but then again it's better to wake friend early and good ones.
Remarks :
So to get in I was asked to give an online interview and has to answer 3 questions. Submit my 12th percentage and I think that was it. Some of the good aspects of my college is that it's very open minded, transperant with the students and open to oppertunities abroad. They have a vast connection outside of india which can be a huge help for students u r planning to go outside once they r done with their undergraduate degree. The faculty and the labs here r very nice. Has the availablity of anything and almost everything a student can ask for.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Honestly I don't really have much opinion on this except sometimes few of the struggles that we face regarding washrooms and lifts. For me I don't think we deserve this sort of struggle considering we r paying so much. To talk about exams...I won't like the faculty makes sure we take them and r very strict about this. There r 2 exams that r conducted 1 in the middle of a sem and one at the end. 1 internal and another external. Along with viva and practicals. It's a whole damn package if I had to say so myself. Very hectic.
Placement Experience :
I have received any Internship program yet... Considering still in my first year but I have heard from my senior that day receive internship packages from second year onwards so I'll let you know if I get more information on that. Overall from what I have word from my seniors they an internship every break after a semester exam is done.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It's a different feeling structure for every different course, but approximately 1 lakh per year adding up both the semisters. Although if u get scholarship its reduced. The scholarship structure works on basis of the merit. 75%=30% 80=40, 85= 50, 90 = 75% and 95- 100= 100% scholarship. Something sort of like this. Considering all the facilities it's okay. Other courses like bba and bcom is something around 1lakh per sem tho. Thn again Ba in psychology with hons takes up around 55000 or 58000 per sem. The labs here r pretty well developed. The faculty makes sure to have a very clear transperancy with us, the campus is huge with all the necessities that u can ask for as a student. Fests take place to keep ur college life interesting. Internships r given to the students from 2nd year onwards. Although the attendance here is very tough. U NEED to maintain an attendance of 75% in every subject else u r not allowed to sit for the exam. Assignments are given. Overall it's a nice experience.
Campus Life :
Amiphoria one of the biggest fest of our college that happens during the month of February end or the start of March. There are various sports that happen our college as well focusing on sports like basketball badminton cricket football volleyball etc. There are a lot of books in journals in our library but I haven't have the time to actually go for the search hunt yet. Altho whenever I looked for a book that I needed for my course i found it there. There are a lot of extra curricular activities that are done by a college. Our college very much supports and is open minded in this field of supporting students to find their extra curricular hobbies and passions through groups and clubs for example there in our various clubs like event, fashion, dance, music, environment, cooking and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Can't comment, I ain't an hosteler. But I would really suggest if you come to Amity you can try and live in a PG. It's much better option for Amity hostel like the water here is very bad and like I have heard it from my friends one hostel okay so I don't know I can't really comment but they said that the water is pretty bad like it makes your hair really rough and the food is also tasteless. So yea.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
