- I mostly like the college infrastructure which is very suitable for a study environment.
- I like the behaviour of the faculty members as they are very humble and solve any of the doubts very clearly.
Dislikes
- The attendance is a little strict and the classes mostly start from 10am.
- The boys' washroom needs a little improvement.
Remarks :
the key factors for choosing my college were its reputation, faculty, affordability, placement opportunity, infrastructure. The admission process included an entrance examination (WBJEE), followed by Cutt off based shortlisting, the college has excellent placement and academics but could improve in extracurricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is well structured with theory and practical. I chose it for career prospects. Faculty are highly qualified, using lecture and projects. exams were timely, with moderate to high difficulty. The time period between each semester exam is about 6 months. Also. in between classes, there are 2 slot tests in each semester which helps us to up to date the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities :
yes, I did an internship. Companies like TCS and Accenture offers roles in software engineering with stipends. project included many projects which helps to build skills to the student and provide real life experience
Placement Experience :
placements are average, with mass recruiter and some good company also comes including TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture etc. Eligibility includes a minimum of CGPA as company mention and a skill test. till now highest package is 48lpa from amazon and average package 4.5lpa.

Campus Life :
campus life is lively full of clubs, events, and great infrastructure. the library is well stocked with books, classrooms have smart technology and have well ecosystem, and sports &cultural activities thrives. During the whole year, there occur multiple fests starting from tech fest where students showcase their interest in technology to cultural events for refreshment.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I stayed in the hostel. The mess food is decent with a variety menu. Rooms are Wi-Fi enabled and have basics facilities. Hostel registrations are simple and affordable .PG rooms in Agar Para localities is also a good option.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
