- The fests are by far the best part of the Amity experience

- Faculty are incredibly boring. This might be a course thing
- The location is a bit isolated with not much to do around the college
Remarks :
The campus and the experience the college promised was a big factor. It was also one of the few colleges offering the course I preferred in my city and the labs are state-of-the-art. There was an "online interview" where we were asked to upload video clips of us answering a few basic questions but I doubt if it had significant bearing on the admission process
Course Curriculum Overview :
The academics of the college could be better, the topics are pretty basic and boring especially in the first year and the faculty aren't engaging. However there is a lot of lab work with top equipment. The course does get repetitive though and does not need to be 4 years long.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are increasing per year, starting at 68 thousand rupees per sem for the first year and increasing by 3000 with each year. There are scholarships available based on academic performance in the secondary school examination, as I received a 100% scholarship for the first year, however the scholarship is results based. In addition, there is a university bus service which costs 20k a sem.
Campus Life :
Best part of the college experience hands down. The name Amity is synonymous with the vibrant college life. There are regular events and our fest, Amiphoria has people from all over the country excited. The sports complex is one of the best I've seen and absolutely professional and it's open to all students.
Hostel Facilities :
I've live in the city so I haven't opted for the hostel but I've been there and the rooms are quality with good air conditioning. The hostel canteen has some of the best food on campus. The surrounding locality is a bit rural which makes a PG not ideal. However the hostel is VERY expensive

Placement Experience :
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
