Course Curriculum Overview :
8 semester there out of 6 are written semester and 2 are Rawe Rural agricultural work experience and elp exponential learning program. Each writing semester carrying avarage 9-11 subjects, we have to read 60+ different courses in our 6 semesters.
Internships Opportunities :
During graduation we completed our 6 months Rawe Rural agricultural work experience programme in different rural villages government of India Indian council for agriculture research icar provide 3000 per month during this 6 months.

Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya have placement offers under whom guidance placement cell running. It provides various companies placement in reputed agricultural based companies and private banking sector.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Svmcm oasis scholarship available for students. Svmcm provide 18000 yearly but need 60% hs marks. Oasis scholarship is only for sc st obc students amouts vary sc st obc students. Obc received yearly 3000-4500, sc st 9000 yearly.
Campus Life :
Campus have canteen facility a very well maintained guest house. Gymnasium available a playground for students and book store in campus. Classrooms are well with morden equipments staffs are well trained in campus sbi branch and ubi bank branch available.
Hostel Facilities :
There are two under graduate boys hostel two girls under graduate and post graduate hostel two post graduate boys hostel. All hostel running there mess by university provided self help group tender. Food quality good.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
