- The location of the college that is near a dumping ground.
- Some faculties donot cooprate with the class and do what they want.
Remarks :
This college is one of the best college that is situated in kolkata beacuse of its placements and goodwill. The campus size is not that big but it is ok. There is a ground and a pond that makes the campus senic and good to spend some free time. One bad thing is that there is a dumping ground situated very near to the college and sometime it gives very bad smell. You have give the state WBJEE and also JEE marks are considered to get admission. For direct entry the plus2 marks are considered. The admission process is simple after you get the WBJEE result you have to sit for counsilling and then you will be alloted college according to your score and then you have to go to respective college for their repective admission process and that is also very short and simple. You will tons for resourse to prepapre for any if the exams and its basillay 10+2 syllabus. I studied online and took some mocktest for the WBJEE exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this couse because it provides me oppotunity for both IT and core flied and that will also help me to get placed in any of the company that I want. The couse includes 70% computer related subject and 30% electronics related subject. The faculties are well qualified for the computer subjects bit for the core some of them are not that upto the mark for now. There are some old subjects that are being taught in the first year like engeniering drawing and mechanical workshop and it not relavent now and their faculties are not that good. The exams are taken in mothly basis they are called slot exams and sems are 5-6 of one another. The exams are moderate level and a student can pass them if they have attended and fllowed what the teacher taught.
Internships Opportunities :
I still havent opted for intership but the college provide interships to the students who are good and are eligible for it. All the companies that come for placemnt also consider interships for the students. projects are important that should be buid by every student to get a good intership and also placemnt.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria is same as any other college you have to pass all exams with no backlog and the cgpa is dicided by the companies. The placement call is very active and they also provide special classes for the 3rd and 4th year student. The companies that visit the campus are TCS, Cognigent, Capgimini, ITC, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and many more core and IT companies. Nearlt 80% students get placed to the companies. The highest package offered is of 12lakh and the average package is of 4lakh. I want to get a decent job after compliting my Btech.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for my couse is around 550000 for 4 years. The semister wise fees is around 120000 and it will vary according to the course that you are studying. At the time of admission you have to pay around 90k-110k and it will all include the tutuion fees, sem fees and all facilities including books from library. There are scholarships available from the state goverment and the central goverment and that is also approved by the college. There is special category called TWF and you have to avail it at the time of admission and if you are found under that eligible your fees will get 20% of the total carges fees.
Campus Life :
The campus life is pretty good as there are regular events organised with collaboration with different brands and the college events are also good and happening. There are two type of fests that are organised one is tech fest and other is the annaual fest kritanj and navodaya. They are conducted in between march and may every year. The books are avalaible in the library infact we get all the sem book from the library so that we dont have to buy them every sem. The classroms are equiped with smart boards. The sports ground is always active as there are always cricket, footbal, vollyball event going on in the campus. There are a significant number of clubs such as coding club, music, drama and many more inside the college and they also organise there event.
Hostel Facilities :
No i have not opted for any hostel but as informed from the frineds the hostels are above average of the college. The food is not that good but they also provide bus facilities for the girls from their hostel to the college .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
