St.Xavier's University for law cirse have a entrance exam which students need to cracj to be eligible. There is no GD or anything only you need to crack the Entrance and during our period u just need to have 50 percent marks and based on the availability they called students for admission.
Presently for our batch thw Vourse Curriculum is not industry ready and outdated somewhat. Byt for this recent batch they have changed many things even added omitted various optional subjects. The faculty here mostly are PhD holders and are knowledgeable and from reputed institutions like that of DU IIT and etc. The exam are semester wise and internal assessment is done before each semester.
Mostly in St.Xavier's University in the law department students take own initiatve to find internship and do their. Howeve4 if required the department helps but its advised not to rely on them for them being incompetent.
For law department only two batches have graduated and only handful few got placed from college campus placement drive. The placement thing is not that good as of now. But a placement cell for law department have been introduced recently.
St.Xavier's University for our batch in our course total tutiton fee is around 8 lakh byt for the batch of 2025 to 2030 they a significantly increase the tuition fees which exactly I am not aware of. But the hike is significant. So there is a change is the fee hence it is better to look towards it from the official website. St Xavier's University also provide various Scholarship based on academic performance and financial background. The scholarship programme also includes fees waiver to good athletes. Hence again it is also chnagebl because certain new scholarship atw added evey year and then.
The campus life is OK and is surrounded with a pot of rules and regulations. The rules include dressing and behaviour. Various clubs ate situated and they conduct activities and fests all around year. Annual fest named Xavrang is organised by the Students Boatd
The hostel infrastructure is good and mess goofs ate hygienic. Registration of hostel is simple and can be done through website. The menu is looked after by the students and are changed from time to time. The hostel fee is costly though.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
