- JGEC is a college full of joy and excitements. Here we all stay like a family.There are lots of sports to play with friends and seniors. All are very helpful.In the other hand , here you can explore lots of new tourist spots with your friends which can be amazing.
- The faculty members are also quite helpful.They will clear each of your doubts.They teaching quality is also very amazing and friendly.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the food given in hostel is not good.That can be unhealthy.In the other hand here we all stay together. So lots of disturbances will be with you.You will never get peaceful atmosphere for studying.
- College infrastructure is very bad.In chemistry lab, there is no sufficient chemicals to perform a particular experiment.Another thing is , in hostel there will be lots of politics which can make you feeling disturbed and sad .
Remarks :
At first, I thought that it would be very risky to get admitted to get far from Kolkata. Then, I would not know the reality.Now I have understood that JGEC is one of the best colleges in west Bengal.The faculties are amazing. The friends and seniors are also very helpful and cooperative. To get admitted you have to give Wbjee exam and get under 3000 rank to get I.T. The admission process is very simple like other colleges as per the rules of MAKAUT. To score better in wbjee you have to practice enough short questions within time and have to do calculations according to your goal score.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I think it is a very good and easy branch also to study and get an assured job after four years of btech. You need not think of getting a job. If you have enough skills to impress HR then it is not a big deal to get a job or internship. All faculties are highly qualified. Almost all faculties have done masters in their domain with PHD also. Every year there will be two main exams - the first semester and the second semester. The difficulty level will be medium. You have to attend all classes to get a good score in those exams. No, I don't think there will be any type of price hike in the fee structure. Most of the students get SVMCM scholarships, a total of 60k per annum, which is I think enough support financially to study in this college.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I will try for internships in the third year. Currently, I am focusing on studying and learning more. However, some of my friends have tried internships and got internships at Google (especially female friends).
Placement Experience :
I don't know the details of getting a job. but you have to be very skillful in a domain to get a job. The few visited recruiters are Amazon, Wiper, TCS, cognizant, etc. I don't tell the number of offers accurately. The highest package is 60lpa and the lowest package is 4 lpa approx. Almost 70% of the students get placements. I plan to get a job after this degree and continue to do that.
Campus Life :
In April, JECLAT is arranged every year. It is a grand fest with various types of interesting events. You will enjoy a lot of participation in this fest. Another fest is SRISTI, conducted in November. The library of this college is very huge. You can get the desired books easily in that library. You can play football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, etc. There are lots of grounds to play in your style. There are no such groups to join. but offline there are lots of clubs like drama clubs, dance clubs,azantrik clubs, and sports clubs to enjoy. Hostel food quality is quite good. But there are repeated foods. You can get bored after a time. Sometimes the foods are made very unhealthy, causing loose motion. On the menu, you can get vegetables fish, or chicken. There will be chicken three times a week which is quite good for hostel life. After you get admitted to this college, the college will take your name if you want to stay in a hostel and will inform you if you get selected for distance.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
