- I like the infrastructure, the campus area, and the aesthetic view it provides.
- I also like the campus social life, which is an important part of every student's life.
Dislikes
- I hate the limited number of lifts and the lack of segregation between the students and the professors regarding the lifts.
- Less student participation in societies that are solely important for non-academic credits.
Remarks :
I chose this college for the following reasons: a. It has the brand of Xavier's in it, and once you are a part of this institution's, you become a Xaverian. b. The university is brand new, established in 2017, and the law department, known as Xavier's Law School, was started in 2019, which caught my eye. c. I was not a fan of getting into NLU due to the huge cost, extreme academic pressure, and, most importantly, the competition. However, I had to take the XLAT (Xavier's Law Entrance Test) , a written test usually held online, before getting into this university. They publish two lists after the exam, usually within two weeks, where you can find your name. d. The preparation was completely like the CLAT exam; the syllabus was the same; usually there's no cutoff, but you need to pass the test to get your name on the list. e. The admission process is smooth, you need to submit all your school documents; and take one of your parents on the day of admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it's a professional course where you are taught both B.A. and LLB together within five years, and you can emerge as a successful graduate in both the fields. The faculties are extremely good; with years of teaching experience, all of them have a PHD degree, and they teach with proper methods, provide teaching material, and are always open to solving the problems of the students. We have two term exams and two internal exams in between them. The difficulty level is quite higher as you move towards the end of the course, especially when you start having honors papers. The fee hike is quite moderate. In the first three years, it remains the same, and from the fourth year on, it goes on a hike of around INR 10000–12000.
Internships Opportunities :
Since I am studying law, I have to go through rigorous internships at every semester break. I have mostly worked with individual advocates and law firms to gain practical knowledge in the legal field. There are internship opportunities provided by the college in various corporate companies or law firms, with a stipend of around INR 5,000/-.
Placement Experience :
As such, you need to have a good CGPA to sit for placement. There have been good placements from various courses and many recruiters like Samsung, BAJAJ, LIC, Deloitte, TATA, AMRI hospitals, etc. visited to recruit the best minds at our university. The highest package offered is 10 L.P.A., with 55% of students getting placements.
Campus Life :
The annual fest is called XAVRANG and is conducted between January and March. We have a library building. We are allowed to take two books home for 14 days. The annual sports day is conducted in January. Sports like football, cricket, volleyball, etc. are played on campus. We have a number of societies that are run by the students and headed by a professor-in-charge. They look after the extracurricular activities and it's important for the students to be a part of them. We have societies for cultural activity, photography, literature, debate, etc., and much more. We have two separate hostels for both girls and boys; their fees are equal to the semester fees. The registration process is easy; it happens through the website. The food quality is good. We have a vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess and a canteen on the ground floor. It's just beside the hostels. However, the PG system is also available near the college, which can be rented by students who want to avoid hostel.

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
