Insight into my college experience

- Campus is in more then 40 acers of land so its huge.
- In a day only few hours of class is scheduled that gives lot of time for preparation
Dislikes
- Very few company visit campus. And none of mass recruiters like Infosys, Accenture, Cabgemini, Cognizant etc and none big company vist campus.
- Infrastructure is not fully ready it is under construction.
- Almost no function no fest is organized properly
Remarks :
I adimited to this college through WBJEE. One of the primary factors that influenced my choice was affordability of the course compared to many private colleges. However unexpected challenge arose during selection process as when i researched the location of college it showed salt lake kolkata (in the main city) but after my Enrollment i discovered that it is situated in Haringata Kalyani (70 km away from Kolkata)
Course Curriculum Overview :
Most of the faculty who thought me was assistant professor and one or two were professor also. They mostly use lecture method using presentation to teach us. Exams were generally conducted on time and it was manageable in difficulty level. Once adimited there were assurance that no fee well be hiked
Internships Opportunities :
No internship opportunity was available through college. None of the students from B.tech got Internship offer in my year through college. One or two students have done internship through off-campus offer.
Placement Experience :
There is no eligibility criteria decided by university for placement. Very few company vista campus and and this year genpact, JSW and hashedin visited the campus only and genpact offerd offer to almost 20 students at 3.6LPA and JSW to 3 students at 8LPA and hashedin to 3 students at 8 LPA. Till mid April from btech 30% students is placed through campus placement
Campus Life :
Actually no fest was being conducted in this campus earlier but last year annweshan(fest) was organised but month is not fix. We can take book from the library for 12 days only. No sports or extracurricular activities is organised in campus. Cantine food quality is average and it operate on daily basis. And while taking admission u can opt for hostel and nearby campus also rented pg and rooms are available.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
