Likes
- Their are many clubs and each clubs and these club help the student to rise their interest either in sports, coding, gaming, cultural,business, etc
- The other thing I like the most is the friendly behaviour of the teachers and senior. Their are some toxic seniors but rest of them are helping and understanding
Dislikes
- The campus is too small. The size of the campus is smaller than a normal basket court .
- The area where my college is located is more like a village area. No good cafe, no good places near to visit, no good stores.
Remarks :
Like every science student, I also wanted to go into a good engineering college and hence I gave some entrance exams like JEE, VITEE, WBJEE, and KIIT. But I didn't score well in the JEE exams. I did a job in the VITEE and KIIT exams and I even filled out the application form for KIIT college but after talking to some of my fri who are already in that I came to know that KIIT is an overvalued college, because its fees was around 17-18 lakhs while its average placement was 6lpa. So I dropped the idea to take admission in this college. Then after the WBJEE result came out, I scored quite good in this exam. My first preference was Heritage CSE but I wouldn't make it then I went for Netaji Subhash Engineering College thought I wanted CSE or IT branch but due to my low rank, I couldn't get it. But then some senior told me to take CSBS as it a CSE+Business System. And I thought its a good idea and thats how I finally took admission in this course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Some faculty are good while some are worse. The good one are like they don't teach from book they will try everything to make you understand but some teachers are like 'I have send you the pdf please refer to that'. So talking about the college faculty I can say most of the faculty is good but their are some who you need to avoid Talking about the exams we have Ca1, Ca2,Ca3 and Ca4 and then semester exams in each semester. CA4 and Semester are most important. The difficulty of the paper is like mid. If you study your notes you can easily score good marks in the exams. And don't try to learn the whole book, don't waste your time in learning everything thing. We are in college and we should take part in others things also not just learning for exams. 1st year is very hectic. You don't get enough time to prepare for the 1st- 2nd semester because the college begins in August and then the 1st years ends in May.But after that the time slot is ok as we get whole 1 year.
Internships Opportunities :
I am in 1st year and didn't have so much skill to get an internship. But in 2nd year those who have a good skill and are confident can talk to the Professors and seniors and they can help you to get internships in some companies.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are quite good in our college. The mean placement value is 6- lpa which is good and the highest was 60lpa. Almost 70% of people get placed while some go offline placement for higher studies like M.Tech, GATE, and UPSC. Companies like Cognizant, Demorgan, Wipro, TCS, Bajaj, Byjus,Chegg, Hyundai, IBM, and Intel are a few of them. Talking about my plans then my goal is clear, first I want to learn web development and become a good full developer and then apply for jobs in good companies
Campus Life :
There are many clubs in my college like GDSC, Lensified Club for photography, Phoenix club which is the tech club,ED club for entrepreneurship ideas, AND club for Linux programs, NCC club, Sport club, Environment club and the Eco- cultural club. Every club have their own fest, webinar or event depending on the availability of the resources but if I have to take a club then GDSC club conducts webinars and event every month on topics like Web development, block chain, cloud computing, etc. Phoenix is the tech club Its main aim to conduct Tech fest in the college which is conducted in May- June. Eco-cultural group are for those who are interested in singing, dancing, modelling, acting, etc. And the list goes on. Our college doesn't have a hostel but you will get many PGs nearby.Talking about the college canteen, it is good the good taste good and the price is reasonable

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
