Likes
- I like infrastructure more because it has a wide campus in haldia.
- I like it's campus life because it teaches you how to live in life with all problems.
Dislikes
- I dislike it's location a lot because it's very far from Howrah and you have to reach there by changing train and buses.
- And second thing I dislike is its environment cause it's very polluted air.
Remarks :
HIT has offered a lot of placements in the last few years and that's the main reason to chose it. They offer Good studies at a very cheap fee compared to others. The only bad thing I know is its location, You have to change trains and buses to reach Haldia. And there are so many factories in Haldia so a lot of pollution exceeds there. For admission, you have to score good marks in WBJEE and JEE and you can also take admission through Management quota.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I like Electricity so I choose electrical engineering. HIT offers good placements in EE so I chose this. Although the Faculty is good you have to be punctual. They offer you PYQ, Notes, and all the stuff you need to study. And you can also go to their office for doubts at any time. There are Two-semester exams in 1 year and 3-3 Class tests in between semester exams. Yes, Hit also offers scholarships based on your marks in WBJEE and JEE.
Internships Opportunities :
No, currently I haven't finished my 1st year so I don't have any internships. But the College offers a lot of internship programs. I'm not clear but I think they offer 10K+ in an internship with certificates and junior engineer roles in the workplace.
Placement Experience :
Till 2023, the placement ratio is Excellent here but nowadays we all know there is a recession period happening all over India but in this recession hit placement rate is 35%. Every year it's above 90%. A lot of companies visited for placement. The highest in 2024 is 33 LPA and avg is 6 LPA.
Campus Life :
We recently celebrated our Annual Cultural Meet from 22nd April 2024 to 27th April 2024. This is a cultural meeting. The sports meet happened in February. They also celebrate 'Prayukti' a Technical fest every year in May-June. In HIT West Bengal's second largest library is established named Aryabhatta Central Library. They offer you a lot of books and variety. You can read it there or also take it to the home or hostel. Different sports leagues organize the whole year. I have opted hostel named Ranichak Boys Hostel. It is the best hostel among the hit hostels. It offers good and tasty food and a Clean environment. Here you can't take entry after 8 PM. You have to come before that.

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
