Likes
- The college has a very good coding culture and also organises events and fests often. The college gives us perfect college vibe and competitive environment by hosting hackathon, sports, avenir, zest etc.
- The college also take care of outdoor sports like football, cricket and volleyball.
Dislikes
- The college size is very small and is only about 3 acres.
- The college doesn't have hostel and students live in PGs and rented flats.
Remarks :
This college belongs to WBJEE college in which every college is nice and has a nice placement. One can get admission through WBJEE and thecutoff is around 21000 for IT and 12000 for cse. The exam is of 5hrs i.e. 2 hrs maths and 2 hrs physics chemistry and the rest 1 hr break.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose btech in IT in this college because it contains quite good placement and the faculties are also good and highly graduated. The teachers had done their PhDs and masters and are highly qualified. There is also a scholarship provided named as swami Vivekananda scholarship in which students get 60000 rupees each year of the course.
Internships Opportunities :
There are no many internship opportunities in this college and students apply for internships on their own. Mainly students from this college opt for internships online on LinkedIn. To get a good internship one should create a good project using high programming language.
Placement Experience :
The placement provided by this college is quite good. Most of the students got placed in MNCs or good IT companies. The highest package is 42 lakhs per annum and the average package is 6 lakhs per annum whereas the medium package is 5 lakhs per annum. No internships are provided by this college.
Campus Life :
The campus is very small and is only 3 acres. The college grounds a also small and not well maintained. But the campus life is good and the coding culture is also great. There are many college clubs like Pheonix, nsec sports, densified and eco-cultural clubs.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
