- Campus life is beautiful different types of activities but as it's government college so the building is not well but it's comfortable to do your job.
- Faculty members are so helpful and supportive for their students.
Dislikes
- As I early say that it's a government college so you can't get a good infrastructure like private colleges, but you can comfortably do your studies.
Remarks :
To be admitted to this college you have to pass WBJEE with a good rank(for the Information Technology department only approximately 2000 out of 1.5 lacs students).In our college, we have 6 engineering departments (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology)and 2 M.Tech departments Electrical and Mechanical. The good thing about this college is the placement, last year nearly 90% of students were placed in various companies. The bad thing about our college is its Connectivity because it's situated in North Bengal almost 600 km from Kolkata the nearest railway station is in under 3.5 km, and another is in this college only West Bengal students can get admission no one can get admission from another state.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In my Department the total fees for 4th year is approx 110000 and for other departments it's only 90000 rupees. If you pass the semester and your CGPA is over 6.7 and your 12th exam percentage is over 60% then you can get SVMCM scholarship (60000/year), also if you don't fulfilled this criteria than you can got scholarship from our respected Alumni which called Half-fee and full-fee. If your meritorious student you can get this scholarship, in this scholarship your fee for the course will reduced , for half-fee college fees will half of the total fees and for full-fee your total fees for the course will reduce.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in 1st year so I don't have any internship. But in 3 Rd year the senior dada and didi crack GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, CELEBAL TECHNOLOGIES etc. companies. But I don't have any enough data of their projects so I can't share it.
Placement Experience :
The placement for the CORE and NON-CORE departments is very well. There is no such criteria for placement. Some mass recruiters of our college are TCS, INFOSYS, AMAZON, HALDIA PETROCHEMICAL, L&T etc. In the last year overall 90% of students are placed. Among of them the highest package for the college is 63.5 lacs per annum from Atlassian and the average salary for the CORE department is 5 to 6 lacs per annum and for the NON-CORE department, the average salary is 9.5 lacs. My plan after the course ends is to get a good job in a good Company.
Campus Life :
In our college, we have the JECLAT fest(the largest fest of North Bengal) conducted in May. You can go to YouTube and search JECLAT and you will see a glimpse of our fest. Also, we conducted a Tech fest called SRISTI where you can show your innovative ideas. SRISTI is conducted 2 times a year one is in Spring time and one is after summer vacation. Also, you get a beautiful campus life where there are 4th playgrounds for playing Football, Cricket, volleyball, Basketball, Badminton etc and indoor games are available. On our campus, a gym is there to maintain your health.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
