- One thing which every student get attracted by this college is their placement which is increasing every year.
- Infrastructure of this college is also attractive now days because college inagruated last year now it has everything. faculties of this college is very experienced and helpful also.
Dislikes
- The thing I disliked the most is that it has a very short campus and no playground at all.
- Another thing is that it has no hostels for live, students faces problems in finding rooms.
Remarks :
One thing that attracted me the most about this college is its placement 100% placement record in IT and CSE departments in the last 3 or 4 years. Even core branch students getting placed in big IT companies. Students get admission to this college through the WBJEE entrance examination which is held by the West Bengal Government.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of this college is very smooth and very good. It takes 4 small tests which we call CA(Continuous assessment) and also takes lab vivas every month to get students updated every day. The faculties of this college are very experienced and very helpful also they try so that students don't face any problems. It provides scholarships to only students of Bengal domicile through TFW(Tuition Fee waiver).
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I opted for 1 internship in my third year and I got paid for that. College provides internships from 3rd year but If you are a clever student you get an internship from 2nd year also through off campus.
Placement Experience :
It has very good placement records in the last 3 to 4 years,100% placement in IT, CSE, and ECE departments, and approx. 60% in the core branches. Every year 100+ companies visit this college for placement drive and hire approximately 90% of the students. The average package of this college is about 5 lacs and the highest was 32 in the 2023 batch.
Campus Life :
The campus of this college is not that big, there are no canteens, and no playgrounds for outdoor games, but it has many things that normal students need for engineering. All types of labs are there, classes are there and Indoor sports also happen in this college. There are different types of clubs in this college which provide a very good social life. fracture is average in my opinion. One thing which is not in the college is the hostel.

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
