- Infrastructure is good with media lab having all equipment’s required in media operations for the students to master, there is mac lab for editing and production and smart classes with air conditioners for better teaching learning process.
- Faculty is highly educated and encourages the students to be engage work most of the time through various projects and tasks and also share their connections and knowledge with the students.
Dislikes
- At times the high pressure due to academics and practical assignments can be a lot to deal with it also gets difficult to meet the deadlines altogether.
- The campus is huge so travelling is difficult at times though university has bus facilities but the timings do not match at all times (e-rikshaw are an option but it costs a little more than bus facilities)
Remarks :
I researched about the college through some known seniors in the department (center for Journalism and mass communication) who furnished me with detailed advice, the department organizes a lot of seminars and workshops for better learning apart from classroom teaching also it gives a good exposure and helps in building network in the media industry. I cleared cuet to get admission through a direct counseling process but this year the admission process has been changed where students have to clear a written theoretical exam followed by a panel interview session by the faculty to get into comic
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course covers a vast syllabus in the first year, touching on journalism, communication theories, public relations, advertising, photojournalism, media organization and management, audio production, television broadcasting, development communication, film analysis, online media, and folk media. And offers specialization in the following for second-year Communication design and aesthetics, Advanced development communication, Gender, media and society, Advanced audio-visual production, Advanced online media and journalism, International relations, and public diplomacy.
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently working as an intern at KBF Trading as a public relations officer where I’m in charge of maintaining healthy relations of the firm with its public and also flourishing the brand image in the market.
Placement Experience :
There is no such placement offered at the department currently but they make sure we build a network by inviting reputed people in the specific fields. One can approach academics or enter media houses after the course easily. As we are made technically sound with all the assignments and practical work.
Campus Life :
The university is rich in its cultural heritage and is reputed for organizing cultural events for students and locals regularly where students can participate and have a good time with friends and be accompanied by their families. There are a lot of art and study clubs for students along with health and fitness clubs. There is a gym, swimming pool, and other different activities.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
