- Campus life is very good. The buildings and laboratory are upgraded for students.
- Faculties are very nice at teaching. They are very helpful and also helped a lot during project work in final semester.
Dislikes
- As there are very green trees , mosquitos and insects are very frequent.
- The campus is spreaded in all over santiniketan. It's difficult sometimes to go everywhere
Remarks :
Yes, I have given a written entrance test in pen and paper mode, an MCQ-based examination. After that, I have been selected for this course. The total score was 100 and the cut-off was around 38-40 for the general cast. As this is a master's course so for preparation I have prepared the syllabus of graduation course very well. As for the aspect of my university, I would like to say about its campus, which is very nice and gives you the best environment for studies and the behaviour of the professors and staff is very good. The library facility is also very good. We can access almost every book from the sectional library and central library. Hostels of this university also provide good food and good rooms to stay and help to grow us in every way. I am really in love with my university.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is a two-year course. So total of four semesters were there. Except this, there were unit tests taken by faculties which helped to prepare the syllabus and did not create pressure during the final term. The difficulty level was not very hard but the students needed to be serious. All of the faculties are PhD holders and the maximum professors are associate, experienced professors which helps a lot to study the subject. But I think the syllabus should be upgraded as the criteria are changing in job fields. The cost is not too much as I have already mentioned it is a central university.
Internships Opportunities :
I did not opt for an internship but it gives a lot of opportunities in internships. Professors help to get Chances in those internships. Like few of my classmates got a chance in internships. I again say it's not a placement-based course so I can not describe it more.
Placement Experience :
Private companies come to recruit students as teaching associates. As an example, the Azim Premji Foundation came and they took written tests and interviews to select candidates for their institutions as teachers in various subjects. As it is not a placement-based degree, not many students get placements.
Campus Life :
Campus life is full of West Bengal's original cultural activities. Poush Utsav happens in December, and Basanta Utsav happens in March. In August there is a tree plantation programme. And Rabindra Jayanti Utsab, Poila Boyish are celebrated very nicely. The math department has its website named vb math. All the students of visa-Bharati are connected by Telegram and WhatsApp channels. Which is very helpful for every student. For sports and gym we have different sections, students have access to the swimming pool also.
Hostel Facilities :
After the admission process completed students can apply for hostel. In every room there is three accommodation. Food is also available in kitchen 4 times in a day including breakfast, lunch , evening snacks and dinner. Food quality also is overall good. Aquaguard , freezers are also available which helps students a lot.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.

Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
