Likes
- Campus life was very good, you get many good friends and opportunities to create memories with friends.
- I also like faculties because they are very knowledgeable, well experienced, and treated you like your friend.
Dislikes
- I don't like the infrastructure of the college because they don't have any group and canteen you have to roam in the building only. And they also don't have proper lab for some subject practical.
- I also don't like the behaviour of some faculties. The concealer call you 100 of times before getting a admission after you get admission and you have any problem your counselor didn't even pick up your calls.
Remarks :
This college has one of the most affordable course fees but you have to take a college's entrance exam. The exam will be very easy based on GK. After that, you have to book a seat and get admission. You have two types of structure of giving fees, yearly and installment. In installment mode, you have to pay a decided part of the fees every 3 months. This college promises you 100% placement. But the main problem is they don't have any campus, it is an institute type operates in 2 buildings only with no ground and canteen. Faculty are very knowledgeable and comparative. But they give you the best freshers party and many events are held every year. They have international and national study tours. The college organized a carnival were celebrities performed for students of ISHM. After all, if you want a degree, placement, memories, and fun this is the best college in such a fee structure in entire Kolkata.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this college because the fee structure was quite affordable and gives you a 100% placement. They work on your conversation skills, and personality development, and develop every skill that you need to be a hotelier. The facilities are well-qualified and knowledgeable, every facility has at least 5 years of experience in the hotel industry and 5 years experience of in teaching. The college will conduct exam almost on time. And the exam will be easy if you attend class daily and if you have common sense. Every year the fees will have a little hike but not very much. I have taken a scholarship exam and I got a 50k scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not internship yet but going for an internship on January 25, But college will give you information about the industry and how they work by giving you various hotel visits. And also gives you CT ( casual training) which is for 1 day you get many types of CT before your internship. You get a good stipend for this CT also.
Placement Experience :
You have to get a degree to get a placement. Much well-known company was come to the college for placement e.g. TAj Hotels, JW Marriot, Lalits, etc. This year every student who completed their course is all set to get a placement in their favourite company. You get 15-25k per month in the starting and after some time you work with the company you get 1.5L-10L per month. You also get a 6-month Industrial training/internship in the 2nd year of your course with big names. You get national and international internship opportunities. You have to get 60+ percent in your academics to get a good placement. I plan to go abroad to achieve my goals.
Campus Life :
There are many events held in college. They have you the best freshers in a 5-star hotel which you will never forget in your entire life. They also have a carnival were celebrities perform for students of ISHM only. The book and journal were given to you on time. And the library was quite good. The classroom was semi and Air-conditioned and the seats were comfortable. Every year the college will have Sports Week and you have opportunities to participate in your favorite sports. They have indoor and outdoor games. The college will book the entire stadium for cricket and football. The college will not have any hostel and canteen but they will provide you a PG and hostel on someone else property they have contact. For food, you are fully free to go outside after class and in a break and have food from local vendors and the canteen. You also get a flat and PG in rent at a very reasonable price in a 3 km radius of the college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
