What I Liked

The playground facilities like Futsal, Indoor stadium.Gym
Faculties are good they taking classes only based on the syllabus not from outside and it is easy for study.

What I didn’t like

The college is a bit long and need to walk.

Remarks:

I choose this college due to as this institute is ranked within 5 of the top colleges in India. For admission it is based on the NEET score for that we need to write the NEET exam on the basis of that the admission process is happen.

Life in Jipmer

What I Liked

I like the way of teaching which is more practically oriented
I like the campus which is peaceful and widely placed departments for we'll occupation of the patients

What I didn’t like

Some faculties are strict and very ordering
No dislikes other than the above mentioned

Remarks:

No I didn't go for any group discussions. But as from outside it is a government medical college, so we can learn many things from patients. Also well established and well experienced teachers (doctors) are there.

What I Liked

The campus is filled with greenery which makes the campus cool amidst hot Pondicherry weather.
We have many facilities like gym , swimming pool, basketball court, futsal court etc

What I didn’t like

It is a very hectic life between postings and exams .
Very few holidays and leave cannot be taken often

Remarks:

The admission process is through neet score based on which a rank list is published by jipmer. Selection is by an in- person counselling and choosing the desired course based on your rank. You might need a decent score in neet to qualify

What I Liked

Faculty and teaching is pretty good, campus life is also pretty nice
Infrastructure is above average, but they are trying to make it better.

What I didn’t like

Mess food I guess, because food on somedays can be awful

Remarks:

Jipmer has top 5 nirf ranking for medical colleges in India, so it is the best college for my rank in neet UG, usually cut off is higher for open category but I got OBC so I got into jipmer with 695 marks

What I Liked

Mainly I like my campus life. It gives me a lot of freedom and happiness
And the educational system or my curriculum it makes me a professional

What I didn’t like

I dislike about the huge crowd but they are all patients
I dislike the mess food here I don’t like to eat it

Jipmer is a prestigious medical institution in India. And an autonomous research institution it provides a spacious campus with modern facilities including a hostel library and recreational areas.

JIPMER Review

What I Liked

Very good infrastructure as well as campus life.
The clinical postings are the best and they teach you a lot of stuff not available on marrow and other learning platforms.

What I didn’t like

Compulsory attendance is a headache as who likes to attend classes at 8 in the morning.
The administration is quite strict and you can’t take them for granted.

Remarks:

It is one of the best medical colleges in India. The academics here are excellent. Also, Pondicherry is a very peaceful town without any major issues. Along with that, you have beaches where you can always go and chill. Also, Jipmer’s campus is one of the best campuses among all the medical colleges in India. You have facilities like swimming pool, indoor badminton courts, tennis court as well as a cricket/football ground. In a nutshell, JIPMER ensures that you will grow as a student as well as a doctor.

The college life still am missing

What I Liked

The most thing i like about the campus its spread to a 200 acre included everything inside. Infrastructure is so standard and keep the historical building too
Its best a college to experience more more exposure and with variety of people in different parts of India . We we connected unite

What I didn’t like

Nothing i dislike in my college .In some areas there need to be development
There is no grocery shop or shopping complex inside the campus

Jipmer is an excellent institution of a nation’s importance.I entered into this institution through competitive entrance examination. I prepared for this entrance examination before a year joined in a entrance coaching centre.

The struggle is real- JIPMER untold

What I Liked

The one thing I like about jipmer is the clinical exposure that they provide here as wide variety of patients all over India come here for treatment as it is a renowned institute of national importance.
The other thing I like is campus life you get here through annual celebratory events like spandan and the hostels which provide you with no time limitations(for boys) and all the freedom you want to explore more.

What I didn’t like

What I dislike most here would ofcourse is the faculty here who are egoistic and childish who takes all their frustration upon the students and mostly threatens the students to fail them in the exams if they acts against their will.
The other thing I dislike here is the way the management considers other bsc courses inferior to mbbs and treats the students same. This mentality can be seen in both the hospital and in any events conducted by jipmer

Remarks:

After 12th I dropped out for 2 years and prepared for NEET and took most of the entrance exams available related to the medical profession. That's how I came across the Jipmer entrance test for BSc nursing and other allied courses in 2020. Now admission is based on the NEET scores but you have to apply separately when the notification is released for admission for the course of your choice. There is no interview or GD of any kind, the admissions are purely based on merit but there is a separate reservation for Puducherry and other union territory students. Also, reservations based on caste categories are present for other state students. After admission, you have to undergo a free full body medical checkup which is done here in the Jipmer hospital by the staff. Most applicants with a moderate NEET score of 450 or greater(general category) can get admitted to BSc courses. The seats usually get filled with 2 rounds of counselling and if the remaining spot admission is also conducted.
