The college offers internships of 4.5k per month for nursing students. It is expected to increase to 13.5k for the batch of 2023 who will have internship integrated into their curriculum for the last 6 months.

Currently am not opted for internship. But internship is mandatory to do after completing the course and it is a paid internship around 10000 per month. Many companies from outside came here every year.

Compulsory internship salary is 10000 from 2k21 batch before that not compulsory if you want you can do intership in your department only and you can also involve yourself in research under any professor

Yes, I opted for a one-year optional internship in 2020. Now it’s optional I think. During the internship period, we will be exposed to more practices and experience well and it is strict to maintain punctuality and work.
Read Full ReviewNo, direct placement of any kind is offered by the college. But almost 400 seats for nursing staff are called by jipmer which you can enroll only after cracking an entrance exam conducted by jipmer. Then you also have to pass a skill test conducted by the college to get the job. It is difficult to land a job here as the competition is very high. Or else as an alternative you can also work in any state government or private hospitals. Many students also crack IELTS or OET exams and get a job abroad as a staff nurse which pays you more. You can also go for higher studies as nursing offers a wide variety of specialities that you can choose from to become a professor or clinical instructor.
There is a 6-month compulsory internship after 3.5 years of course here in the Jipmer hospital where you can train under various departments and sharpen your skills under the experienced staff and immense patients here and the stipend is also good (rs 14000 per month). But the only downside is that you won't get any hostel from the college side and you have to find a stay outside which may cost you around rs 5000 per month.

Read Full ReviewWe have to pass the final year after which the internship starts where we get posted in every department which is there in the hospital and has to work there, we get a stipend during the internship which is approximately 28k per month for one year, here the percentage of students getting placed is relatively high because we become doctors and after MBBS either u can pursue studying or just get posted in the hospital, either way, you are going to earn, my plans after MBBS is to do post-graduation in surgery and become a surgeon
Our college provides internships after completion of the MBBS course, during the internship we have to work with doctors in all the departments one by one to ensure that we learn from every department.
