Yes we have been offered by various companies for interns not on campus but also off campus and various other things and morever the quant companies have more focus on IIIT as they get students based on maths and every other thing they need.

Internship opportunites are also pretty good and most students end up with pre placement offers from their internships. But again this is something which the placement committee has a lot of control on and a lot of stuff happens behind the scenes

Internships were offered according to specialization and the tenure was around 2 to 6 months and a stipend was offered around 15000 per month to 1lakh. The companies were TechMojo, Red Hat, Google, and BizEquity.

Companies like google, and Apple offer internships in college in the third year. The projects are done in college courses works. Recently we also did projects in our courses like Analog electronic circuits and information and communication.

No, I haven’t yet, I will sit for it next year, the internship opportunities start in 3 third year as I m only in the second, and I haven’t sit in any, as for our seniors the companies that visited include Google, uber, PayPal, apt labs, rubric,nand many more. The offer stipends of up to rs 2.5 lac for a month. Our seniors have joined as software developer interns.

I have not opted for any internship yet. But from seniors, I got to know that for single-degree students internship drives are held after the completion of 2nd year before the start of 3rd year around August end of July start. most of the students get the desired internship. the same drive for dual degree students is held in their 3rd year. those who got internships will join the company as interns in their summer break of 3rd year for single degree and 4th year for dual degree students. Mostly 50% of students get internships during the first round and these internships are generally from top companies and have high chances of converting to PPOs(pre-placement offers). So, everyone accepts this. But the remaining 50% of students generally reject internship offers they get in other rounds as the companies are not top companies and they offer low pay and have very low chances of converting to a PPO. mostly we get hired as SDE interns.

Not yet, since I am in 1st year. But after 3rd year many students will have either the opportunity to get an internship or can do research on specific topics related to their field on the campus itself (due to its excellent lab facilities)
