Placement opportunities is good for computer science students around eighty percent students will placed.and for it and ECE branch around seventy percent students will placed with average package of nine to ten lakh per ctc .

Placements are not as good as expected from national institute of technology. Limited companies visit here for placement because of the location and only 10% students get placed out of 100. They have to apply off campus for jobs.

Placement rates are good , especially for core branches like Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. Top recruiters include Wipro, Infosys , L&T, Tata Power, and more. For software roles , students often on self preparation for coding and DSA.

Placements for electrical have not been that great for the 2024 year with the average package being 6 lakh per annum. IT branch being the branch with good placements. Not all students get placed in the campus placements

National Institute of Technology Srinagar has demonstrated high placement performance in recent years the placement rate for undergraduate student is very high 460 out of 581 students were placed in 2024. The median salary for the students is 11 lakh .Top companies include Microsoft, HCL ,infoys Samsung and JSW. The highest package was of 36 lakhs.

The course curriculum is upto mark for the electrical engineering department i choose it because i was interested in it. The qualification of the faculty is mostly PHD and their teaching method was good Exams are on semester bases divided into mid term and end term

Like I have completed by first semester here in NIT srinagar and understood a lot of things like how to live a college life and all . How to manage each and every thing . Faculties are cooperative from starting but not later on .

For a final year student to be eligible for placements he/she should have 6.5 above cgpa and no active backlogs Around of 150 + companies wouls viait this NIT this year ,Major are Aditya birla aakash , shree chaitanya , ashok leyland,etc. Till now lowest package is of 6 lpa and higheat of 32 lpa for a cse student Profiles as web developer ,assistant manager ,executive assistant ,sales management,etc. roles were offered to the students . At the end of placements around 70% students are able to grab placements My future plans are get into a core chemical company and gain knowledge about industry for around 2 years and then I'll open a startup company based on refining . If i am unable to grab placement from college , then i would start prepairing for GATE Exam and during this I will also try to do internship at a company , to manage my expenses .

There are good placement records of NIT Srinagar. There is 44 lpa is highest offered package this year of CS branch. Average package of upper branches are 9.45 lac to 11 lac and for lower braches it's vary from 7 to 8.5 lac per annum. Top companies like HPCL BEL OIL BPCL EIL GAIL IOCL CRC, Amazon, Samsung, cheg, IBM, Google visited every year. Sometimes, harsh weather and protests outside the college affects placements. Every year 80 to 85 % get placements. Lower braches like chemical, civil, matellurgical engineering placement rates are low as usual in other colleges. Many students prepare for higher studies and examination like GATE, CAT etc. and persuing thier masters and PhD further. My plans to prepare for GATE examination and persue masters in electrical engineering from top IITs. Usually students with cgpa 7.5 above are preferred by companies mostly for interviews.

The eligibility criteria to sit in the placement varies from company to company. But if you manage to secure 8 CGPA , You are safe and you can sit in any company of your Department... The few recruiters visiting for the campus placements mainly for MME department are JSW , Vedanta , Reliance, etc. Highest package offered was 36.50 lpa and Median was 12 lpa for CSE department. Highest package offered was 13.90 lpa and Median package was 6.75 lpa for MME Department. Almost 75 % of students get placed every year. I am thinking of doing M.Tech from IIT after my degree.
