Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the 3-year Full-Time BE (Lateral) program, aspirants must have passed a Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized Institute or Board.
Admission to the Lateral Entry (2nd Year) program candidates are required to have passed the prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma programs in the appropriate branch of Engineering from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, or its equivalent as prescribed for the degree programs.
To seek admission, candidates must apply and participate in the counseling conducted by Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, with the dates to be announced by the institution. The duration of all the offered programs is three academic years, consisting of six semesters.
