• The candidate should be a citizen of India.
• Completion of the Higher Secondary Course (10+2), CBSE, or any equivalent examination recognized as such, along with meeting the specified requirements, is necessary for eligibility.
• The candidate must have studied Biology, Zoology, or Botany with a minimum mark of 60 out of 100.
• The candidate must have studied Chemistry or Physics with a minimum mark of 60 out of 100.
• The aggregate of the HSC exam should not be less than 70 per cent.
• For candidates from the vocational stream, Biology along with any subject from fisheries or agricultural sciences must be studied compulsorily with a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent.
• Candidates can apply only twice for admission to this course. However, candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST and another backward committee can apply thrice for the same.
• Candidates should not be above 21 years of age as of July 1st in the year of admission, with no age limit for SC/SCA/ST candidates.
• Candidates for the above program will be selected based on their performance in the qualifying examination, along with Online Counselling.

Annamalai University Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) Course Details

The Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of fisheries and aquaculture, covering areas such as fish biology, aquaculture technology, and fisheries management. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, graduates of this program are equipped to contribute to the sustainable development and management of fisheries resources.

Reservation of Seats: Seats for ST/SC/MBC/BC/OC candidates will be reserved according to the Government of Tamil Nadu's Rule of Reservation. Additionally, 5% of the total seats are earmarked for differently-abled individuals in accordance with government norms.

Registration & Counselling Fees: 

• To apply for the B.F.Sc. Degree Programme, a demand draft of Rs. 400/- is required for SC/SCA/ST candidates and Rs. 800/- for others. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of The Registrar, Annamalai University, and is payable at Annamalainagar/Chennai.
• Applicants are required to pay an Online Counselling fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/SCA/ST Candidates) through online channels. It's important to note that the Online Counselling fee is non-refundable.
