• Eligibility for admission requires a pass in the Higher Secondary Course (HSC) Academic stream or Vocational stream, or an equivalent qualifying examination, with a minimum average percentage as specified below, after completing 10+2 years of schooling.
• The eligibility criteria for various categories are as follows: Open Competition (OC) requires a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in all four required subjects, Backward Class (BC) and Backward Class Muslim (BCM) need 50%, Most Backward Class (MBC) and Denotified Communities (DNC) require 45%, while Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar (SCA) need to pass in the qualifying examinations of the four required subjects. Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates also need to pass the qualifying examinations of the four required subjects.
• Candidates belonging to SC, SCA, or ST categories are allowed three attempts, while others are allowed two attempts for the admission process.
• The age limit for all candidates, except SC/SCA/ST, should not exceed 21 years as of July 1st of the admission year. There is no age limit for SC/SCA/ST candidates.
• Selection will be based on Online Counselling held by the Annamalai University.
